That's ironic coming from the guy behind the guy who floated the flat offer to Pac. Maybe the guy whom he was working for didn't want the fight either?

I have to add, if Wilder and his people are that unhappy with the offer then make a better one.

If Wilder generates huge money, fills huge arenas and sells huge PPVs then make a bigger offer.

Blow Hearn out of the water..

But we all know that isn't going to happen, Wilder earns around $2 million a fight on average.

Never once mentioned 'power', nor implied it.

Joshua is making the offers. Wilder is considering them. That is the reality.

Wilder has basically already said that he would take the fight to whatever offer and that they were waiting on the "A side's" offer for the fight to happen - "this fight could be made right now"

“We will respond appropriately in the next day or so with our counter offer. If Joshua is serious, we will take the fight. Deontay wants this fight. He doesn’t want anyone else.” - Shelly Finkel on behalf of Wilder.

Superb, simple isn't it, they can offer AJ a purse, I can't wait to hear it, I bet Wilder can't wait either considering he earns what he earns.

Who was the moron who said to me the 12 million was a final take it or leave it offer so basically there won't be or they won't make a counter offer when I suggested they make one?

I'm going to have to scroll back through this lot LOL

There is another quote from Wilder before this second offer.

Wilder does not deserve 50/50, no way....................Joshua can fight someone else, then have the huge fight with Tyson Fury!!!

Agree with the first part. I too don't care who gets what as long as the fight get's made.

But this being what it is, fans on both sides will become embroiled in the minutia of the deal so if the fight doesn't get made, one side can of course blame the other for ducking the the other because they wouldn't accept whatever was offered.

Disagree about Hearn not wanting the fight being made. But I will say he probably doesn't want the fight right now or at least next. From the start he's said late 2018 and he won't likely budge on his plans unless Wilder and his people give him good reason too and that means taking less now than what he would be willing to offer later down the line when he believes there will be more money available.

Wilder could of undercut Parker and taken the Joshua fight for 25-30% but he didn't why, because he didn't want it then. Wilder could accept this shitty offer, but he won't because he too believes he can make more and rightly so, just like Hearn believes he can make more later in the year.

But with Povetkin being named mandatory that scuppers Hearn's plan for Joshua fighting Miller in the US in the summer to build the Wilder fight so I don't think the fight gets much bigger later in the year. Hopefully this forces Hearn's hand and makes him offer a better offer once Wilder's people reject this first offer.

If Wilder can get 6 times what he gets for a standard mandatory defence by fighting AJ plus have a rematch clause allowing another fight at 6 times what he normally gets...then he would be CRAZY to turn it down

Even if hanging onto that 0 matters that much. Or if he genuinely is egotistical and doesnt like to be seen to be a B side.

It adds up to the income for 12 fights just for fighting one fight against AJ and a rematch.

If this fight is not announced that its done in principle with a few days then we know the duck happened.

He could easily fight one mandatory break an eye socket, or have a brain scan which shows issues and that be his career over...then he would be kicking himself over not taking the AJ fight.

Considering how unfair and dirty boxing negotiations are.. If Id were in Wilders shoes I would take 70/30 or something like that plus a cut of revenue and PPV's and kick his arse... I mean hell still make a sh**tload of money anyways... Cause in reality.. If it was all fair and square as far as champion vs champion etc etc 50/50 would be the way to go in a perfect world.. Unfortunately not how it works in prizefighting..

50 - 50 bodybuilder Joshua, thats the offer the bomb squad want. Don't take too much time, making your decision. Brezeale's waiting in the wings, and Deontay's patience is wearing thin.
