All you have to do is watch his fight with Diego Corrales to see what he was like at his peak and then watch his last fight with Ortiz and compare.

If you need more...just go through his 130-135 days...STOP...then watch 140....STOP...then watch his WW days...until he is retired...then continue on for his comeback.

    All day.

He hasn't got a hairstyle anymore.

    His legs have deserted him.

He isn't willing to take on "all comers" as he was 10-11 years ago.

Seem's more game to trade though (this will be his undoing).

His performance against JMM was his best performance since the Gattit fight, imho.

He looked damn great that night.

    Agreed.

Up until the Gatti fight (he looked great that night) he was just amazing to watch.

Above 135/140, his run has been shockingly bad.

He stays in the pocket more. That doesn't mean he takes more punishment, but it does up the excitement level of his bouts. He still doesn't get hit flush very often, but more punches are thrown by his opponents, which creates openings, which Floyd now hammers home.

Aesthetically, this appeals to me more as a viewer. The Ortiz fight was entertaining, and Floyd was actually cracking the **** out of him for a while.

He's much more dominant, overall. Minus the Corrales shutout.

He's more experienced and it shows in his game.

he is a much better overall boxer now. He doesn't waste any movement at this point. I see his reflexes slipping some though.

    1) reason you didn't see a stiff left jab too often was because Floyd was fighting a southpaw. landing the jab isn't as big of a focus against lefties. The focus of the jab against lefties shifts towards creating openings for other punches.

    3) Someone who can't fight in the reverse gear would not be able to do this

He seemed very trigger happy with the overhand right, engaging repeatedly without mixing up the attack, which is fine against a non-technical guy like Ortiz. He falls into a straight line pattern at times also. Floyd feels much more confident in his power now and when you are the best at countering and you know you can crack, there is no need to waste movement. His legs are not gone, he's adapted his style to better suit his attributes but he does get touched more now tho.
