I couldn't give two **** if one is better at insulting the other. When i did training sessions i didn't practice jabbing to get range to then throw a barrage of insults a playground school kid even finds ******ed. Let the boxing do the talking.
He's the one who'll have to promote the fight to maximise the fighters' money. Beyonce's team is poverty tier.
Nobody's fought Fury, because Fury's had issues. That's beside the point, though, which is Joshua barring Wilder from his ring like a little princess. Plenty of fights have gotten started with a good old fashioned televised callout, others never materialized, crap happens. This fight is there to make, and Wilder's forceful, electric presence in that ring after Joshua handles Parker would generate huge buzz and open serious negotiations. Instead, they want to stick Dillian Whyte in front of him. Brash product of an American ghetto vs. British stiff upper lip is a winning recipe to start with. And Wilder boldly stepping to AJ in front of a capacity stadium crowd and a large Box Office audience would do infinitely more to blow this fight up in the public imagination than Wilder bowling Whyte over on Joshua's next undercard before tamely accepting an invite to the ring so they can talk about how deeply they respect and admire each other while announcing a fight. But again, blowing this thing up is not what Hearn and Joshua want.
Why can’t he call him out from outside the ring? What’s so difficult about that? Isn’t that better than not being there at all? He will have the attention of all the press, TV, etc and was meant to be working for Sky where they would have invited him to talk directly to Joshua anyway. That’s all assuming Joshua wins of course. As has been said, it’s disrespectful to Parker apart from anything else. Why tempt fate? Staying at home makes no sense at all. All he’s doing is isolating himself.
And that's fine in applicable cases, c.f. Joshua and Wlad and their milquetoast announcement. There's an entirely different frisson crackling away here, and Hearn and Joshua are going out of their way to deny and subdue that frisson. And that is what this discussion is about. There's something organic bubbling here that they are seeking to keep away from the wider public view with their abject control freakery. Who even does this banning a rival from setting foot in the ring thing? Again, what kind of reception do you think Wilder would have received for barring Fury from 'his' ring in NYC? He would have been roundly ridiculed, and rightly so.
Exactly and what usually happens is the victor does the calling out. If Joshua wins he would probably call out Wilder and invite him into the ring anyway. It should be his prerogative, not Wilder’s, which is the point Hearn and Joshua were trying to make...
In the ring, out of the ring, why's Joshua being so precious about 'his' ring? Because he has no intention of allowing Wilder the opportunity to throw that gauntlet down. He's already been filmed whooping it up at the prospect of Eddie siccing guard dog Dillian Whyte on Wilder before Wilder can say boo to him.
Woman's prerogative? http://forum.quoteland.com/eve/forums/a/tpc/f/99191541/m/7771011031 Are we really talking about prerogative on this here boxing forum? You AJ apologist fellows are acting like a bunch of fresh cut tulips.
