Wladimir Klitschko is now age 37 and will eventually retire.

Who do you think will be the heavyweight champion after he's gone?

There won't be one champion... but 5 or 6 different ones who don't fight eachother, like in most weightclasses.
And many of them will have 3 succesful defences at most, even when fighting average opponents.

I vaguely remember him saying he's not fighting past age 40.

(Although he'll probably still be good in his early 40s).

Vitali is all but retired and Wlad's days are numbered, i wouldn't be surprised if he loses in the next 12 months and retires.

As for who will be the next dominate World Heavyweight champion we have a number of contenders who will be vying for that position and i think it'll be one of the following Heavyweights:

    TYSON FURY
    DEONTAY WILDER
    DAVID HAYE
    KUBRAT PULEV
    BRYANT JENNINGS
    ANDY RUIZ JR
    AMIR MANSOUR
    MAGOMED ABDUSALAMOV
    LUIS ORTIZ

I don't know who will be champion but I can guarantee that the heavyweight division will be pure comedy.

    Sadly, This. ^

    -------------------------------

I still think David Price will make it to one of the belts. He has all the tools. He made one mistake against Thompson, and likely learned from it.

Wilder will hold one of the other belts, unless -
A: It turns out he can't handle a pressure fighter, or
B: No good opponent ever agrees to fight him.

Jennings has a very good shot, if he keeps improving both his skills and his power, both of which seem to be happening.

Fury is obviously a wild card. He's big & dumb, with lots of flaws, but also lots of strengths. If someone can control him the way Roach controlled Pac, he has a chance, I guess.

Glazkov no longer deserves to be on ANY list, at all. He's done.

    ------------------

Oh, and **** David Haye.

But look at it another way:

Assuming that every fighter on that list fixes whatever problems they currently have. (This is theoretically possible for every one of them.) In THAT case, which of them has the offensive tools to literally dominate the HW division, and for a long time?

    Only two: Wilder and Fury.

Malik Scott is infinitely more skilled than anyone else listed there. Only Haye, Mansour and Jennings come close. Too slick, too black.

 at people rating Wilder over Jennings. I can understand people disregarding OG Malik on age grounds but that glass-jawed ***** wouldnt stand a chance against Jennings.

I think Deontay Wilder will be the next heavyweight champion. He's going to step up his level of opposition this year.

His amazing one-punch KO power reminds me of the early 70s George Foreman.

    Amir Monsour?????????????????

You do know he has had like 4 opportunities to take big fights, and at 39 yo he continues to move at a snails pace IRT LOC.

He might be 45 and have seen Wladimir and even another top Champion retire before he gets a "paper title" shot.:rofl:rofl
