What fight in the history of the heavyweight division would you liked to have seen the most?

It doesn't need to be between two fighters that never fought, although it more than likely will be with most picks. It could be a fight that happened but it's 'prime v prime' this time. Eg: Ali v Holmes in their primes.

Two styles which clash and make it a war?

Maybe two that produce a long range boxing match. More of a 'cat and mouse' type of match?

To get people thinking, please choose only one fight, rather than just zooming off 4 or 5 fights from the top of your head.

Johnson vs. Ali. Even the pre-fight conference would be legendary.

Note: Tyson-Ruddock I in not prematurely stopped, Ruddock is dropped by a brutal Tyson barrage against the ropes, gets up & then it's stopped correctly as a wobbly Razor is battered by another finishing combination.

Note: Tyson sticks with Giachetti as head trainer for these fights.

Note: Tyson dumps Don King when he realises he is not being paid for the Ruddock fight, & gets with Steve Wynn, but sadly not Cayton because he still believes the brainwashing nonsense about him. With Wynn instead of King, Lewis & Foreman would sign contracts to fight Tyson, instead of refusing due to Don King contact options.

Tyson-Holy, November 8th '91. (I would favour Tyson win (60-40) by TKO7/8 or close decision & regain his world titles)

Tyson-Bowe, in '92, (he hasn't been sent to rot in prison as Mike wins the case with a proper lawyer who is an expert on **** trials, not a tax attorney hired by King with a dodgey defense designed for Tyson to lose). Prediction: Bowe wins by close decision, favoured 65-35.

Note: Tyson might get rid of Giachetti after his loss to Bowe, & take up Floyd Patterson's offer to train him, in that case i would favour him to beat Holy in their '93 rematch.

Tyson-Old Foreman later in '92, a few months after Foreman-Stewart. (Tyson wins by mid-round stoppage)

Tyson-Bowe II, in '93, a rematch to their first brutal slugfest. (Tyson (60-40) by TKO7/8 or close decision, regains titles)

Tyson-Holy II, later in '93, a rematch to their first brutal slugest, Holy has Manny Steward. (Close decision either way, Holy favoured 60-40))

Tyson-Lewis, in Jan/Feb of '94, Tyson defends against the 24-0 Lennox Lewis (if he beats Holy again) or gets the fight to earn a title shot, Lewis is coming off the Bruno win. I strongly favour Tyson here by KO.

Note: If Tyson wins Holy II, he defends against Lewis, then retires. Otherwise he uses the Lewis win to get a 3rd fight with in April '94 Holy, who has heart complications & a shoulder injury, so Tyson batters him & wins by TKO6, then retires.

Tell this to the large majority of boxing people who saw both at their best in the 1950 and 1960 polls... Boxing is styles and the Jack Dempsey prime, who U never ever have SEEN SL, was tremendouly mobile, fought in a crouch-like Arturo Godoy style, which gave Louis trouble, and had the equal explosive
punching power of Joe Louis...Dempsey also started from the get-go,while
Louis was for the most part a slow starter. These two are my very favorite heavyweights, but styles make fights and if Dempsey did hook up with Louis, My money [not too much] is on the man who most boxing experts, who observed them both, chose to win, were they have ever to have fought each other....

    Joe Luis - Jack Dempsey

Sam Langford vs one of the "small" HWs with punch (Dempsey, Marciano, Frazier, Tyson)
