He is a good defense fighter, but he's just lacking when it comes to the elite level. What I think is lacking is his approach to offense. He tries to do it aggressively with a variety of punches, but he's simply not effective at that unless its against a sub-elite guy. A better solution would be to use his offense in a more tactical way like Mayweather or Ali in that he can use his better speed to move around the ring and whip the jab like a snake to keep the other guy a bit wary. Only get aggressive with combos whenever the other guy gets too close for comfort IMO.

On top of that I don't think anybody at 168 fights in this manner so he'd have a better chance to stand out as far as recognition/style goes.

He would become a fan favourite if he went for stoppages more often

Power then again he's never been the biggest at SMW.

No shame in losing to the best 2 in the division mind, Munguia or Charlo would be a good fight for him next.

Power, but even more so lack of fundamentals. People confuse his flashy style with real boxing skills. But in fact he is far, far less skilled, far less fundamentally sound than the guys like GGG, Derevyanchenko or Beterbiev. They are league above him in terms of pure boxing skills.

Stamina is one of his flaws. Always seems to slow down significantly in the later rounds.

Power and stamina. Lacking both of those is a bad thing.

His hot wife Jordan drains him down before fights. We all know sex robs the strength from boxers legs.
    And he slaps his punches.

I guess that's why his nickname is Sweet Hands.

    Yes he can.
One thing about boxing that I despise is the notion that a boxer can´t improve.
Plant could easily learn how to put weight behind his punches.

Low left hand makes his jab predictable and his chin vulnerable.

Lack of combination punching. Usually one punch at a time.

    Lack of power.

    Lack of strong fundamentals.

Stamina is lacking and usually fades with the stretch.

Bivol is not a big puncher, but he has all the qualities that Plant lacks.

Power and stamina. He's very athletic, but that doesn't necessarily make one a good boxer. He lacks the fundamentals that help a boxer deliver maximum power from the least amount of energy. His style is high energy consumption, but low power output. This is why he tends to hit a wall so fast.

I'd say lack of power. He has everything else, speed, reflexes, defense, skills, heart. If he had power to he'd be one of the best fighters in this era.

Improve ? maybe, change his style? No. When the heat begins he'll revert to what he is
