Ray i see where your coming from man but idk.... i just think out of everything to complain about, hopkins taking an easy touch isnt one of them uknowwhatimean? but fair point, i see what your saying..... but i think hopkins has earned an easy fight like this and it is 100% just not to get TOO rusty before fighting rjj....

Scar I think Jones will have a tougher time with Greene than BHOP will have with Ornelas...Green is very good and he might be able to frusturate RJJ..I wouldnt actually call RJJ"s fight a tune up...

I wouldn't call BOTH fights tune-ups considering how many upsets we got from fights people considered "tune ups". Just calling it what the majority did but deep inside I know they are decent fights and whoever goes in there has a chance.

hey, lets think of what ORNELAS feels...i mean, he's a rugged so-so fighter with decent foundation..Imagine, u barely getting fights on Tele Azteca or Telefutura or some **** then outta nowhere, B-HOP calls YOU and says "LETS DO THIS"... Ornelas must be ****ing feel like he hit the lotto and I love the whole Idea of this whole thing...It sorta reminds me of when Apollo Creed randomly picked out a "Local fighter" to show what the American Dream means and got a classic thriller against Rocky Balboa...and...well u know da ****ing movie...so anyways, if HOPKINS wins, then we get a nice "old hopkins" knockout reel..if not, then we might see determined ORNELAS shock and upset HOPKINS....LOL...hey it can happen!!! im not saying it will but if it does...damm! UPSET OF THE CENTURY...BUT ....no...

Yes Jones getting one too but Green ain't a bum like the one Hopkins will be facing thats for damn sure. And Hopkins thinks that fight a really bum fighter is a real tune up fight? Well Hopkins thinks he's a huge draw so umm yea lol.

Hey i got no Problem Hopkins wanting a tune up fight but come on Hopkins can find a better opponent then freaking Ornelas. Jones is fighting a better fighter in a tune up in Green. <<So why can't Hopkins do the same?

A win over Roy at this point will do nothing for BHops legacy. The reverse is not true, however, as RJJ will likely get a lot more credit. Hopkins should have not priced himself out of the Adamek talks, as now Adamek is heading in a totally different direction, with a proud Polish middle finger waving in Popkins' face, saying, I don't need your legendary ass.

As far as tuneups, everyone gets them so stop whining. As long as its clear what the purpose of fighting an outmatched opponent is and no grandiose claims are made about the bout, tuneups should be acceptable once in a while. Unfortunatly, tuneups get abused as guys like RJJ and Calzaghe have built their careers on them, irrespective of their talents.

Roy stands to make $4M for his fight with Green:good just the consumate entertainer man. bringing what is probably the highest profile boxing event in years to Australia. gotta love the man. Its a pretty high risk to take for a "tune-up" but he just cares about putting on a show for as many fans as possibly. just gotta love the guy
