What hurts boxing the most PPV,rival promoters, injuries from boxing, UFC, titles?

    then its the promoters deciding who fights who instead of having a system with fighters facing each other based on merit.

    IMO its the greedy fighters/promoters who destroy boxing with their outrageous multi million dollar demands for fights that aren't worth it to the public. People will counter that and say that its a business and the fighters put their life on the line and deserve the big paydays. I agree with that to a point because go back to the 50's. Boxing was still a business. The fighters AND the promoters were still filthy rich. But the difference was everyone fought the best fighters of there era.

    I think the fall of boxing can be directly attributed to the lack of boxing on free television, at least in the USA, which itself can be attributed to the overall softening of American society.

    PPV and sanctioning bodies...ANY sport needs drama and media exposure; boxing has drama but w/ out consistent media exposure, it won't grow enough.

    i was watching old olmypic tapes of the 70's and 80's...the ****en seats are jam packed.....today, your lucky to see 30 people in the ****en stands......that ****en horse dancing sport gets wayyyyyyyyy more fans in attendance than boxing

    Guys like Mayweather. Champions that wont fight other highly regarded Champions.
    Imagine if every champ had to try to unify at least once a year.
