    I actually missed this agenda.

It's a decent thread ignoring that fact.

Body specially kidney shot is wicked, got hit with it plush once and I was in the canvass crying for air.

Yep almost decent. I would be if Doc stop spewing JMM bull****.

Yeah I remember in my 5th fight I was miles ahead and it was in the last round with about a minute left, I got hit with a shot just behind the ribs. I have no idea how I stayed up for the last minute but I pulled it off and won. Could barely breathe though, hard to fight when you're gasping for air.

Body shots are the only ones where the pain is instant.
Getting hit in the face doesn't hurt at all during the fight. At least not in the "ouch" sense. Now, after the fight is over, you'll have a nasty headache, but during the fight, there is no real pain. That's not to say that big head shots don't affect you. They do, they just don't really "hurt".
It's part of the reason why fighters always think they won right after a fight. Because in their mind they were not hurt at all, and they also seem to think that every punch they landed did hurt the other guy.

In my third bout, I was fighting away from home at our nearest rivals, Manchester. The bell went for the first round (I was more determined than ever, they played 'The Eye of The Tiger'...true story)...he backed up into his own corner without either of us throwing a punch. As his back hit the corner, I threw the best body shot I had ever thrown, and would ever throw...dropped him straight away.

He somehow got up, but I would go onto drop him from jabs, etc.

Psychologically? Tasting the canvas. Very humbling.

Physically? Counters... this has already been mentioned but getting hit with hard counters can make you pretty tentative if it happens repeatedly.

Personally I think getting countered all night is more damaging psychologically. When you get dropped you could equate it to a lucky punch, a random punch, ect. When you get countered all night you know beyond a shadow of a doubt that you weren't the better man.

You probably tuck your chin well as I do since the same happens to me. I think I got hit with a kidney punch because one time I got hit to the body and my legs kinda gave out on me. I walked back a little and laid on the ropes blocking everything until my legs came back and then I threw a few punches to the body until the bell rang. After that I said, "No, I'm good" to another round because I already sparred for 6. Unbearable pain that was still with me for the rest of the day and through some of the next day. I had to muster up everything I had in order to throw punches at the heavybag for a few rounds. At least I didn't quit and the headshots don't bother me anymore lol. After that day I do situps pretty often when I can. From my experience, I can take a clean punch to the chin it's just body punches that hurt the most. Even then I am always game so I'm a pretty dangerous fighter. I should make an interesting amateur.

Oh god yes, the only time I've ever been put down was on a body shot (my floating ribs broke). I agree also on the head punches, you don't really feel them. I remember I had my nose broken, and as I was fighting, getting hit on the nose, it felt sore. It was only after the fight did I realize it was broken.
