Let's say the top 16 HW of all-time, all in their primes, were lined up in a bracket like March Madness, who would do the best if they ran that tournament 100 times?

    1. Muhammad Ali
    2. Joe Louis
    3. George Foreman
    4. Lennox Lewis
    5. Joe Frazier
    6. Sonny Liston
    7. Rocky Marciano
    8. Larry Holmes
    9. Evander Holyfield
    10. Mike Tyson
    11. Jack Dempsey
    12. Riddick Bowe
    13. Tyson Fury
    14. Vitali Klitschko
    15. Jack Johnson
    16. Wladimir Klitschko

I would favor Ali because he has proven that he can beat any style of fighter. He has beaten sluggers (Foreman), swarmers (Frazier), and brawlers (Liston).

My next favorite would be George Foreman. Only Ali is a bad matchup for him. I would favor him over most fighters.

I think Marciano wins zero times because it's hard to imagine him beating 4 straight great heavyweights. At least one of them will be a huge mismatch like Foreman or Fury.

Liston is not a brawler damn it.....he is boxer puncher and a highly skilled slugger IMO.
    I would say:
    Ali
    Liston/Holmes
    Lewis
    Louis
    Foreman

I'm going with Muhammad Ali to come away with the most wins.

Factoring in consistency, Louis, Ali and Holmes would be the three standouts.

If you allow an inconsistent fighter to be at their best for every fight, then men like Liston come into the argument.

It would almost certainly be either a classic boxer, or a boxer puncher, as those are the most versatile styles.
