Well i didn't see that coming and it feels really bad, i believe he is the best fighter p4p in the world, he brings great things to boxing (he is educated, doesn't trash talk, always seeks the ko, is fun to watch with good skills, etc...), but this is terrible and what makes this fight terrible is the fight of GGG talking about Canelo being a coward for fighting a welterweight and then he does exactly the same, i know that it was for desperate reasons, but they are some better options i believe, and even when i wish more than anyone an undisputed champion, he should have moved up, but know he is in a loss/loss situation, and for the first time since when i wanted Pirog to win, i wish Brooks win.
Theres no reason why the ww champ shouldn't get a shot at the mw champ. It has happened before many times and its great for boxing when the best talents meet. Jose Napoles fought Monzon, Griffith took the mw title from **** Tiger.. Its just rare nowadays because of the stupid weight class and title belts inflation and the betaization in western society in general so that cowardly behavoir of self proclaimed fighters meets a lot of acceptance. But these two men are doing absolutely the right thing, theres nothing to be ashamed of
Pook Kell will be used as a punchbag, nothing competitive about this fight. A clear money grab for someone who can't get into money fights very easily. This isn't the ye olde days when people were running around in greyscale and the #1 welter could beat the #1 middleweight. This is serious boks, and Brook is a good boy. Just hope he doesn't end up "special" for real when the bout is over.
