He doesn't want to box anymore He already has the life changing money and celebrity so there's no reason for him to risk it all in the ring. From a former fan, I think this is as far he gets. Maybe a few more gimme fights but I doubt he's gonna fight anyone that could seriously hurt him. I can't even blame him
Joshua's mindset and willingness to WAR seemed to change after Vlad dropped him. Star fighters especially can lose a piece of themselves in a shaky win.
The Campbell from the Linares fight, which I thought Campbell won, would've beaten Garcia IMO, not that Campbell was washed, I believe he was struggling to make 135 by the Garcia fight and therefore wasn't as sharp on the counter and because of that had to cover up more and couldn't do much, the only way he had success in that fight was when the pace was slowed and he was able to set traps and land punches, if it was Campbell from the Linares fight, he would've been able to counter better and catch him coming in more
I agree. If he's already thinking about retiring and openly mentioning it, he should probably make good on that, get out with his health and wealth intact, and not even consider the possibility of a return. Boxing is a hard sport, even more so for a guy whose heart isn't completely in it.
He'd make more taking absolutely no punishment as a sports clothing model and Instagram influencer. Fair play to him for expanding into such avenues with so much success so quickly, but boxing isn't the primary goal right now it seems.
Hi is at the age when people realize their childhood goals were childish and question the path their on. I also wouldn't be surprised if he tried to hurry himself back from whatever the original problem was and when you try to do that you end up with all sorts of other stuff breaking down. Probably feels a lot of pressure to provide for his team and doesn't understand coming back half assed is worst of all.
