Rocky Marciano was one of the best ever.

I have been watching alot of his fights lately.

He hit hard he had ok defense but what I like best about him is this.

He would pressure his opponent for 15 rounds! He was relentless he has the greatest stamina behind henry armstrong of all time.

He does not get enough respect to me he was one of the best ever.

Mike Tyson,Joe Louis,Jack Dempsey and Rocky Marciano are my all time favorite Heavyweights.

His 1st fight with Charles was one of the greatest heavyweight fights..not just title fights...ever. And one of the greatest performances of two men in one fight ever.

Best conditioned fighter who ever lived...great stamina...heart...power...chin...threw punches in bunches...hurt you no matter where he hit you...almost killed Carmine Vingo...
Roland LaStarza had surgery to repair damage to his arms...sheared Rex Layne's teeth off at the nubs...never stopped coming...incredible tolerance for pain...feared no man...mentally tough...great trainer in Charlie Goldman...49-0 43 KO's...class outside of the ring...as author Everett Skehan said of Marciano:"The fiercest...most determined and relentless fighter who ever lived".

People do forget what an epic thing it is for 180lb man to keep that kind of pressure on for that length of time.

I think you've got your Rockys mixed up

It was Rocky GRAZIANO who had that trilogy with Zale.

It took me a while but any intelligent observer of the sport has to recognize his greatness. One of the greatest, if not the greatest, sub-200 head to head fighters in history. Yes, he was that good.

I would have made him favourite against any pre-Sonny Liston champ, with the exception of a prime Joe Louis. I go 50/50 with the two Jacks. Dempsey and Johnson.
