Yup it's a reflex where someone puts themselves out there and realises they're getting beat and start acting like it's a joke to them anyway. I saw it a lot growing up in a lower socio-economic suburb. You can tell it's just reflex because when he speaks he doesn't try to downplay losing.

He has a far better chance than if he tries to stand off and box like he did last time

What happens? His misfires would be so many that he would gas out before Clubber Lang against Balboa. Lol

USyK imagines Joshua could have a big
start but there would be a plan even for this.

Sure KO by Usyk within 3 or 4 rounders.

The only chance to win for Joshua Is fighting in a smarter way than USyK but I strongly doubt his IQ ring Is better than USyK's.

    USyK has Joshua's number.

Usyk is so accurate that he only landed 20 or so percent of his punches against low Joshua. Usyk isn't accurate or anything else.

AJ probably would get knocked out.

I don't see how AJ can rough anyone up - he's too tall and his punches are too straight. And that's assuming he has the heart and the chin to really take it to Usyk. I think Usyk will be looking to get a knockdown this time to balance out any potential robbery

The way Hearn has been talking lately it seems he's going to be cashing AJ out with this fight followed by AJ-Whyte 2 and maybe Fury-AJ as a domestic blockbuster if it makes sense at some point in the next 1-2 years. The sad reality is that even if Fury hadn't reappeared to steal the show, AJ would've eventually been exposed

I think he has 2 possible roads to victory...

1 Trying to maul away and knock Usyk out, with the chance ending up staring at the ceiling.
2 Rely on the Matchroom judges to win the fight for him.

Both options are quite plausible, but I think after fight one the odds are 65/35 to 70/30 in favor of Usyk.

Joshua isn't wired up to fight in that sort of rough and tumble way. He's very much a straight up and down box behind the jab kind of guy. That's how he was taught and that'd what's got him success. To change it up now wouldn't be something he'd be comfortable with, IMO.

Anyway, if he does that it won't be something Usyk hasn't seen before. Joyce, Medzhidov, Nistor, Chisora and someone else in the WSB I can't remember (maybe Modugno or Brechlin) all tried to bumrush him in some shape or fashion and got dealt with. Joshua would have to fight something like Joyce to have the best chance of success (non stop junk punches with no fear of what's coming back) but he doesn't have the engine or the durability to fight like that. Most likely he'll just tweak some aspects of his game that had some success in the first, and maybe fight with a bit more abandon. I don't think that'll be enough, but it's not really like he has much choice.

Sooner the bodybuilder musters enough courage to launch a cowardly attack. The flashbacks of Ruiz will happen, with fatso pummeling him in the corner with his gloves over his head. Joshua doesn't even have the punch resistance to take from a puny cruiserweight anymore.

He won't beat Usyk 99 times out of 100 fighting like he did last time. Even an against the run of play bomb I think Usyk is tough enough to take and defensively astute enough to avoid any follow up.

He is going to have to roll the dice and try. If he does take this approach I think they will need oxygen in the corner by round 6 and a black bottle by the 9th.

He gets gtfkoed. He is not a great pressure fighter. Poor head movement, footwork and stamina.
