What if Aron Pryor fought Leonard, Duran and Manccini

    He'd have no realistic chance against peak Duran or Leonard, both much better fighters (great as Pryor was), and one considerably bigger. His aggressive, fairly open style plays right into Duran's hands. Really fun fight that one, but it'd have been rather one-sided. I feel Mancini's a bit underrated by the casual fan, but he'd get absolutely wrecked by Aaron.

    He beats Mancini and loses to the other 2.



    That's what supposedly happened in the amateurs. As professionals, Pryor wanted more money than Leonard was offering, so the fight didn't happen.

    I think Pryor has a great chance against all 3. Aaron had great footwork and movement when he decided to box, I think he frustrates Duran, because he would be in that low crouch bobbing and weaving making Duran miss then throwing punches from so many different angles. Duran was a great come forward fighter, but he was most effective when guys stood right in front of him and traded. Aaron could be reckless at times because although he was a very skilled fighter, he absolutely loved to mix it up, and that could have been his downfall against Duran, with Duran having the heavier hands. I think Aaron actually has Duran backing up late in the fight forcing Duran to fight going backwards, which would play right into Aaron hands. I've got Aaron by a close decision. What would have been most intriguing about this fight is who would have been the fighter going backwards!
