First two bouts were scheduled for 15 rounds? Would the results be different or the same? Your Thoughts

Good question Jay. If scheduled for 15 I see a possibility of Bowe stopping holy in the first match. Maybe the 14 th. Holyfield had already been dropped and by that point he'd have been done. The rematch would have been much closer, maybe a split decision win with not much in it for Holyfield.

Agreed on the first fight. But I don't see how the rematch could have been any closer without Bowe winning. Holy edged Bowe out by a razor thin majority decision as it was, and I honestly think Bowe deserved the nod in that fight. But I do agree that, strangely enough, more rounds would have favored Bowe in both instances despite him being the bigger guy.

Bowe wins the first fight by KO. He also wins the 2nd fight by decision due to the fact that Holyfield would’ve had to decrease his work rate in order to pace himself for the add’l 3 rounds.
