Imagine its Monday Night and your sitting on your couch. then all of the sudden on tv comes The Chicago Bulldogs Vs. The Miami Pugilists. then you watch three action packed fights in the lightweight division. 3 of the best light weight boxers from chicago vs the best three from Miami. Chicago wins 2 out of the three matches, and they win a point for the season. each week a higher weight class is next, as the ratings catch on.....

anyways... i think an organized boxing league, with boxers from each big usa city, could be a huge success. i know its a long shot but, i can dream cant I? If boxing had that type of team format and organization, it would be the most popular sport in the world hands down. that was a wild ass idea, sorry if i sound like a ****** to anyone, i havent gone to bed and its 7 AM

As an amateur event, this could work but not in pro boxing...

I don't think it could work. The contender show sort of did that a little, and we saw how succesful that was. You would get a lot of lower rated guys from California fighting lower rated guys in Texas. And the winners go where? Fighting the top guys from the winner of Miami and New York? The theory sounds nice, but boxing fans and boxing just does not add up the fan numbers in football. Personally I cannot stand football. But for some reason the typical guys at home on the weekend love it more than boxing. Hardcore boxing fans are a small number really, and those are the ones who would like the NFL format for boxing. We already had ESPN and Tuesday Night fights on USA, and USA cancelled their fights. I am not sure the fan base is there for more than what you have. I think for boxing to be good the promoters have to make the good fights, and that will help it in the end. We have had a good start to the year. With guys like Cotto and Pacman and Shane, boxing is on the rise.

Didn't the International Fight League do something like this? I like boxing the way it is minus the corruption and ducking.

Im tired of all this " what if " ****... What if Boxing had it's own channel, what if boxing was on free network tv, what if there were no PPVs... **** all that.. It's not going to happen.. NO need to talk about it and get blue balls over something that's not going to happen..
