I just read a thread then about weight divisions and which fighters would have been where. Think about it with same day weigh ins aswell cause a lot of fighters take a lot of weight off before for eg remember when clottey weighed in nextday at 170 so what would he be a middleweight with stricter training or go to lightheavy ,ricky hatton would be a possible middleweight so think of the matchups

Weights in should be just one hour before entering the ring.

The big differene is weight-making would be less of a science. You can't send a guy into the ring to fight with 12lbs cut from his body becaue you will lose (though people did). I don't like to see these guys making weight so severely. I don't think guys can give of their best when cutting so much weight, so it's the fan that's cheated (Again).

they changed it becuase fighters were working so hard to make weight that on fight night (hours later) they couldnt perform and some actually managed to die on the course of 15 rounds or managed to end up in critical condition

LoL. True, but dont forget about Oscar. Oscar was the first fighter that stopped allowing HBO to weigh him on fight night because of that. :deal

It doesn't matter one single bit because the same size guys would be fighting each other but just be in a division with a different name. People get too nostalgic about the "old days" especially in boxing and tend to exaggerate how good they really were.

Everybody moves up 1 division, and we see far more brain injuries and ring deaths.

Ricky Hatton would be a JMW, Guzman would be a WW, AA would be a LHW!

It would make fighters work harder. They would have to train full time. I wish it was like this.
