What if Caleb Plant were to convincingly outbox Canelo

It seems that I'm in the small minority on here who is giving Plant a chance and wanting to see him do well. What does that tell you? If I was idolizing Canelo as you claim surely I would be predicting an easy win for Canelo and not giving Plant any chance whatsoever. Like some people . . .
Sounds like you're polishing up Canelo and acting like he's unbeatable. Why is it that I'm always the unbiased one around here, I'm talking about what Plant has to do to win. If you're giving Plant no chance, then you must really rate Canelo. Maybe you're really a Canelo Super Fan all along.

    1) When Canelo beats Plant you want it to seem like some great win so that you can blow him some more
    2) Canelo is not unbeatable he's lost a few times already. I predicted that Saunders would be difficult for him stylistically and indeed he was
    3) Plant is simply not that good. He's one of those guys that might snag a belt and lose it after 1-2 defences. He will lose to any top guy.

He would still lose on the cards ... he has to knock Clenelo out and put him to sleep for three straight minutes and even then Clenelo could be the beneficiary of a very long count.

Cartel Alvarez has all the bases covered... everyones on their pocket... he simply cant lose.

    1) So I'm giving Plant a chance and thinking that he could be a real test for Canelo because I want to hype Plant up to make Canelo beating him look better? If I'm already being pegged as a Canelo Super fan, then that would have little impact when it comes to how anyone would view the win. Face it, the people who don't like Canelo aren't going to give him any credit for the win regardless of what I say about Plant. And to be clear, I'm not boldly predicting anything from Plant. I'm talking about what he has to do to win, it's unclear and unknown whether or not Plant will be able to make any of that happen. Saying he's capable of giving Canelo a test is not the same as saying he will.

    2) Reminder - He lost once - to Floyd Mayweather Jr, while drained at a catchweight and pre-prime. No one else has beaten him, but several fighters have come close, including your golden goose GGG. I also predicted Saunders would be difficult for him stylistically, but after the fight, if you recall, I also pointed out that Saunders didn't perform at the level in which I thought he was capable of. I criticized Saunders for not using his footwork enough. He did OK and had his moments agagainst Canelo, but he didn't fight the way he fought against David Lemieux, he didn't fight upright, he didn't use the bigger ring which he demanded enough. He fought Canelo hunched over. If I was trying to spin that result to make Canelo's win over Saunders look better, as you claim I'm doing vs Plant, then why would I have been so honest about how Saunders fought? If I wanted to pump up that win over him more, the last thing I would do is talk about what Saunders did wrong. I would have acted like Canelo beat Saunders fighting at his best. So frankly, your claims about me are unfounded and they are not consistent with what I said about Saunders and his other opponents in the past. I know this might be hard for you to believe, but first and foremost I'm a boxing fan and I want to see Plant give Canelo a real test. I want to see a classic in November. Win or lose I don't want to see Plant lay down, I want to see him give Canelo problems because I want to see Canelo tested. I don't want to see Canelo have a walk in the park, where's the fun in that? I want to see drama, maybe even a controversial judges decision. That's where the fun is.

3)I think Plant is a real unknown honestly. He hasn't fought top competition but he does have skills and is an undefeated fighter. Also he's working real hard in the gym as seen from his training footage so I am optimistic that he will show up in the best shape of his life and give Canelo a test. But we won't know until it happens. In all seriousness, I just want to see a great fight. That's what I'm about, and I think it's low of you to act like I have some alterior motive. I'm a fan of Canelo, but I'm also a fan of Plant. If Plant shocks the world and pulls of the upset, I think it could be great for boxing.

Similar fighter to BJS… If Plant tries to convincingly “win” the fight like Saunders did, he will get stopped. However, if he moves a lot, makes Canelo miss widely, and lands enough tags and counters to avoid Rigolation (ie does what it takes not to lose the fight), he has an outside chance of winning on the cards.

If I came on here and said "Canelo will dominate, Plant has no chance" then you'd say I'm such a big Canelo fan. If I say Plant has a chance then you'll say I'm building him up to make Canelo beating him look better. No matter what I say about it, you'll spin it in any way you can. I don't have to build Plant up to make any win over him look good. He's an undefeated World Title holder. That status speaks for himself.

I'm just looking forward to a great fight, that's what I'm about. I'm a fan of Canelo and Plant and I'm thrilled that this fight is happening. It's really as simple as that.

Talk about spinning a narrative, he does that on a regular basis, you'll say one thing and he'll purposely interpret it backwards and write a saga outta it.

You're such a Canelo fanboy, thinking Plant has any chance against him. Get real, and detach yourself from Canelo's nuts! Of course Plant has a chance you clown lmao.

LMAO I'm spinning a narrative by saying Plant has a chance? What about the narrative being spun that Plant has no chance? He's an undefeated World Title Holder why wouldn't he have a chance? If you don't think Plant has a chance you're obviously a raging Canelo fanboy who thinks Canelo is unbeatable. I'm not delusional like that. I rate Plant as any reasonable boxing fan who isn't obsessed with Canelo would.
