This is Olu... Who thinks Tank Davies stands a chance of beating Josh Taylor... You don't need this post to have a good chuckle.

Saunders was talented, but he looked like crap in the fights before he fought Canelo. Going into Canelo Saunders the common theme that people were saying was Saunders could win but plenty of people doubted what kind of condition Saunders was in or if he would be at his best.

Plant isn't inconsistent like Saunders has been since he fought Lemiuex. Plant has looked better than Saunders did in the lead up to fighting Canelo. Plant also doesn't have mental issues like Saunders. Plant unlike Saunders is a bigger guy who's a legit full fledged SMW. Don't you think these factors make him more dangerous for Canelo? Plant is a much better fighter than Saunders was earlier this year before he fought Canelo. He's bigger, he's not inconsistent like Saunders, he's clearly training harder. He has more physical advantages on Canelo than Saunders did. Saunders never showed upper body movement.

Again if we're talking about Saunders when he fought David Lemiuex, I would agree that Saunders had faster feet back then and maybe was more elusive than Plant is now. That Saunders would give Canelo problems, but that wasn't the fighter who fought Canelo in May. We can't take a version of a fighter that existed once many years ago and compare him to a current fighter and say a version of somebody in the past was better. We take who Plant is now, and right now he's better than Saunders ever was at SMW, Plant is better now than Saunders was when he fought Canelo.

It'll probably be the left hook that puts Plant away

These same guys thought Billy Jane Saunders and Callum Smith had a good chance.

Laugh at yourself and ask why are my picks usually right. Maybe I have a great eye for boxing and know what I am talking about.

It would show that European and British boxing is in the bin.

Na, he is referencing me Olu

I though Smith had little chance and Saunders a slim one

Are they? Got any proof you can point to?

The two examples in hand (that Canelo-Plant is close and that Tank beats Taylor) suggest heavily to the contrary... We're talking levels apart in both cases.

Lets be in touch with reality here, Plants resume is utter garbage. The only reason im even suggesting this is because i just have this strange feeling Plant's significat size advantage accompanied with his slickness at close range will actually give Canelo's style issues over the course of the fight.

It's just a strange feeling. I've been watching plant and based on the eye test Canelo is going to give him a brutal asswhoopin. Plant looks so average against mediocre guys. But i don't know. Something tells me it'll actually be competitive

If Plant were to convincingly outbox Canelo, I'm predicting that this would resemble the Golovkin situation. Canelo seems to be protected by the judges so the best Plant can probably do is get a draw but gain a victory with the fans though.

I gave them 2 chances slim and none and advised slim left town.
