So let's say Canelo comes into the weigh in 154. What if he outmuscles Mayweather, beats him up and wins the decision. Would you still respect his victory? Would he become the p4p number 1? Just a few things that ran through my mind. I wonder what the Money Team would do if Canelo comes in over the agreed limit. I personally think Mayweather will win regardless, but was just interested to see what you folks thought?
Would love to see Canelo come in at 154 lbs, power jab and rough up Mayweather, disposing of him in muscling fashion. Love to hear what the *****'s who dismissed Mayweather coming in 2 lbs over the weight limit against Marquez would have to say. It wont happen though, I'm sure Mayweather has steep penalties in the millions if Canelo were to come in as much as 1 lbs over.
Void will run like Hell, he is afraid of Alvarez, so he will run. Why? Because it's impossible for Void to lose a decision in Vegas, he owns Vegas. The judges can't score against him, not only because of that, but also because of Showtime....................Void will never fight a fight that he is not guarenteed to win.....................Boxing is as crooked as a dog's hind leg.............
I'm sure Mayweather's team has that taken care of. Canelo would lose quite a lot of money on the scale to start off with. Truth is even if canelo comes in at 157 he's not going to beat Floyd. Canelo is flat footed. He puts all his power in every shot, he's relatively slow and his defence is not really the best. On the other hand, Floyd moves well and he's going to be on his feet beating the **** out of that ginger head. Canelo stands no chance here. After Floyd annihilates Canelo you will all want him to fight Ward because he's run out of opponents.
@divac all the *****s are at check hook boxing now so I don't think you will get there opinion and I hope canelo does but I think he will try his best to get down to the agreed weight for the fight
I know tony. I cant even automatically quote you anylonger on this forum without having to go through the trouble of doing it manually. :-( Dont know if I'll sign up just yet. I'm browsing that forum but posting on this one for now. It looks like though like this forum will fast be a ghost forum. At some time years ago this was a fabulous forum. Glad to have been able to share boxing thoughts with alot of you gents!:thumbsup
I know why take away the quotes it just makes no sense and I don't think this forum will b around much longer but am going to stay till the end you never know they might realise there mistakes an put it all back the way it was but its just not the same with out the *****s an there massive man love for Floyd if canelo wins I hope he does then I will have to go to check hook
Hey yeah, the site has been funky as of late, but I thought that was just temporary. Not sure why people want to jump ship. The new website people have been mentioning doesn't seem to be that busy, but many of the major posters on this website are on there now. Any of you ever post on seconds out. That used to be very popular and they went down hill bad after several drastic changes. The main thing this website needs is for the trash-talkers to learn to become boxing fans and learn the rules and technical aspects of the sports. I love technical talks, but webpage has been mostly a source for trash talking.
If the fight goes on and Canelo wins in that manner, then he'll probably get more credit than criticism since the fight is for his Light Middleweight belt despite being fought at a catchweight. However, I suspect Floyd will levy a very heavy fine and/or re-hydration cause on him if that happens, and there's always the chance he just walks. Unlikely after all the build-up, but Floyd doesn't mind criticism and the lions share of the blame would fall on Canelo anyway for being unprofessional if the fight was canceled.
Secondsout never went through drastic changes. That forum went down in its very prime. One day it was here and thriving, the next day the forum was shutdown with a notice that read it was going throught renovations and would be back soon. It never did come back. Secondsout went up in flames in a blaze of glory. This forum is dieing a slow, sad death.
Yes, the win would still be legitimate, because the fight doesn't get called off if he comes in at 154, still goes ahead. I wouldn't have thought FMJ would be too upset if Canelo ignores the catchweight, as he'd get a wad of Canelo's purse. Slightly different, as this catchweight was 2 lbs lower than the Mayweather one, but Canelo struggled like hell to get to 150 for Hatton
Mayweather will certainly account for that possibility by putting a severe overweight penalty clause in the contract.
Yes Divac, you have better memory than me. I remember they had a general boxing forum, classic/mythical match-ups section, a lounge, and smack-talking section. The smack-talking section was useful because it kept most of the trolls out of the general boxing forum. First the smack-talking section was straight deleted. Then yeah the whole thing was closed for renovations. Then the whole web-site got revamped a couple of times. They actually have a forum up again, but nobody posts there. Pretty sad. I didn't joing a forum for a few years and this was the closest forum I could find that was similar to secondsout. Would be sad to see it go down.
