hopefully canelito comes in at 154 so there are no excuses after he gets to be made ordinary and average which is what he is.

 

Use your own material. Canelo wasn't the one who demanded a 152 lb catch weight. A 152 lb catch weight when you hold a belt at 154 is odd and highly unusual. how many 152 lb light middleweight fights have there ever been?

It was Mayweather, not Canelo, who demanded that. That in it of itself might not mean so much if it wasn't for the fact that Mayweather specifically addressed catch weights prior to the Cotto fight and said what he said, that catchweights are meaningless, how he wants his opponents at his best weight.

It was the quote that makes this so revealing. I really have no dog in this race. Both Canelo and FMJ are great fighters. You can respect what FMJ has accomplished and still call him out on his blatant hyprocrisy.

Hopefully Canelo comes in at 154, but the problem with that is pretty ***** Floyd is trying to take 20% of Canelo's purse if he does that! if FMJ is the best, then he shouldn't need a catch weight like that. Fight a mega fight at 154 pounds, with all the belts on the line, let the best man win and unify this division!

 

canelito did not have to sign 152. and hes probably going to come in at 154 so the point is mute. im pretty sure that Floyd knew all along he was not going to make 144 for jmm and was going to pay the fine.

im not advocating what Floyd did was right but at the end of the day I would bet that the fight is going to be weighed-in at 154, which both the Floyd and Canelo camps probably already know.

I saw the Trout fight yesterday and man Canelo is in trouble. He plants those feet to throw those right hand bombs and floyd will not be there and he hooks too wide

It always makes me laugh as well because it was Canelo’s team who offered to drop 2 pounds to make the fight. It was not on Mayweather’s radar at all but Leonard Ellerbe called their bluff saying if your manager is incompetent it’s my job to take advantage of your stupidity.
