Due to one of his idiotic "friends" jumping into the ring while the ref was administering the 8-count to Bute? The ref did a **** poor job since it wasn't clear if he was stopping the fight or if he was stopping the count to administer an 8-count. That would have been a travesty for Froch.

It wouldn't of mattered as one of Butes team was already on the apron, therefore it would have bee overturned anyway.

    Nottingham would of rioted.

Bute's corner was up on the apron and the ref had waved the fight off BEFORE starting his count.

Froch won, he dominated, brutalised Bute and there is no loophole excusing it. Bute stayed on his stool for 15 minutes after the fight, about 12 feet infront of me, and he looked terrible.

Is it not IBF rules that if your corner men get up on the apron, the fight is over.

Also, the promoter of the fight jumping in the ring, albeit ******ed, is not the same as a corner man doing it.

If Bute's guys weren't already on the apron, I guess they might be able to lobby for a NC, but that's just not how it went down.

Froch's people entered the ring, ref should have disqualified him

Both teams hangers-on should have been more patient. If the referee had turned around and seen Froch's manager in there before he'd called it things could have gotten very embarrassing.

The ref had waived the fight off before that, and Bute's corner man was up on the Apron before Hearn was.

    1. Hearn was sitting in the audience as a spectator, he was not part of Froch’s ringside team, so him entering the ring would not have resulted in an immediate disqualification.

    2. The referee waved off the fight before administering the 8 count, so it was his fault Hearn entered the ring anyway due to giving confusing signals.

    3. Even if Bute had been able to answer the 8 count and Hearn had not entered the ring, Bute’s team had jumped into the ring at about the same time Hearn did to pull their fighter out before he got permanently injured.

    4. **** off.

Forget about Hearn, there was Froch's corner men on the apron in front of the ref! So if they got on before bute's corner it could be overturned into a DQ but even if that was the case I think Bute would be too embarrassed to ask for that as he got smacked up
