What If: Chad Dawson vs. David Haye at CW

Dawson. Too good at everything

 

David Haye because he's simply too big for Dawson. Dawson looks like a fighter who can fight in the heavyweight ranks, but would not be sucessful like Bob Foster. Maybe once Dawson gets more experience I think Dawson would win, only if it's at Cruiserweight.

Dawson not nearly big enough Haye who I am not a huge fan of would stop him early on.

 

Yeah he's a LHW alright, and he can stay as a LHW for years and move up to cruiserweight if he wanted. People say he can one day move up to HW, I don't think he can, is limit is probably cruiserweight, and I don't think he wants to fight as a cruiserweight anyway, since there is hardly any big fights. People talk about Dawson being a big LHW, he's not that big, he's just as big as Tarver, and he's still a LHW.

 

Haye stops him late while behind on all the cards.

 

Chad was a MW just a couple of years ago. The guy has great talent for a LHW but i seriously have questions about his chin. Not really questions but he's just never been tested at this department as a LHW. He did get knocked down against Adameck.

And what makes him even more prone to getting hit is that he does come forward a lot. He doesn't just sit in the pocket and wait. He does come forward. Maybe too much for his own good. But that leaves him open. I just want to see how he handles being hit by a good LHW with power.

It was reported that he was going to fight Glen Johnson on this board but i checked ESPN and it shows that Johnson is fighting in Feb. Seems like it's not happening. That would've been an interesting fight.

 

Haye would simply overpower Dawson. No question.

 

He can fight comfortabely at cruiserweight, I'm pretty sure. The only problem is, there is no big fights in cruiserweight

 

Dawson is more technically sound, but Haye is a natural 230lb, come one, total physical mismatch.

i like dawson a lot, but haye will catch up with him at some point, haye is no slouch around the ring and i seriously doubt that dawson will be able to handle the hayemakers brutal power.

 

admit it, you haven't seen him fight. he is **** all like lacy. they are both black americans who box, that's where the comparisons end.
