Sure, Canelo's stock would fall a bit but it wouldn't be the end of the world. As someone else already mentioned, he could still rematch Lara and/or Cotto. Golovkin would still have plenty of lucrative options(Chavez, Ward, DeGale, etc.)

Yeah, just not a fan of GGG/K2s on the business side. 170k doesn't warrant 15 million. Cinnamon didn't even get that upfront against arguably the best of the era. Love him a fighters but I don't want to hear you bitching about 15million when you barely made 2 million in your last fight versus your toughest opponent to date. GGG is the A side against 90% of fighters actively fighting. Not Canelo, it's BBB side. If your gonna be ungrateful, then you don't deserve the payday.
