You can't be more wrong. The Cotto/Margo fight was signed only because PBF/Cotto hasn't yet materialized. PBF and Cotto have been clearly established as #1 and #2 since November 10, Mosley being the only fighter capable at the time of squeezing himself between the two.

Cotto beating Margarito at this point is less significant than his win over Quitana.

A Hatton rematch would occur at Wembley Stadium and nowhere else. Given the response of the British fans in the first fight, a second matchup is a tremendous business opportunity and an opportunity for PBF to get exposure in Europe.

    Alternatively, there's Cotto.

But the likely scenario is Hatton then Cotto, that's where the money is.

Yes, of course, Margo will come at you only if "you" happens to be a C or a C pushing to B level fighter.

This is no rocket science: Cotto beat Quintana, Quintana beat Williams, Williams beat Margarito. Anyone who fails to see a pattern has a vest interest in ignorance.

He'd have more chances against top name opponents had they not ducked him so its hard to gage him by his competition. Cotto will not be in there with Gomez this time around, I think we can agree about that. I think we can also agree that Cotto has the footwork and ring generalship advantage but he does get hit quite a bit too and getting hit quite a lot by a puncher who works very well on the inside is a bad thing. Overall Cotto advantage, wild card goes to Margarito.

I'm anything BUT WRONG:yep You are apparently not grasping what I'm saying and havent been around these parts long enough to understand MY POV. Just for the record, I picked Cotto over SSM, Williams over Margarito, and Quintana over Williams.

I know exactly why the Cotto Marg fight is made and thats PRECISELY my point. Respect a "Champ" who avoids the best over the GUY who beats THE BEST?? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Maragrito is the only one left and after that, if PBF wont fight him? He's a ****ing JOKE of a P4P Champ. A Haton rematch over cottO:rofl :rofl

    THE BIGGEST JOKE EVER!!!

PBF Cotto will sell HUGELy and Hatton Loyalists will still be there. Floyd will be exposed for what he is, if that scenario plays out.

BTW? Margarito ONLY KNOWS to come at you. I didnt say he was the best at all, I'm not a fan. Yet Marg is tough and big at WW and his style is what it is:good

Cotto wins and Floyd wont fight him? Cotto's the real Champ and more deserving of P4P than any such **** talking, non fighting, businessman and his hyped claims.

So Ziggy - Thomas Hearns KO's Duran and Duran extend Hagler to 15 rounds so therefore Hearns instantly KO's Leonard because he lost to Duran?

Pattern shmattern. Boxing has a way of killing patterns, hence the old addage "Styles make fights"...

I don't need to hug anything. Skills speak for themselves

I assuming you're talking about Mosley and Margo. First off, after the Mosley fight, team Cotto said they weren't neccesarily interested in fighting Margo and said that they thought there was more marketable fights out there for him. They then tried to make a fight with the same Hoya that Floyd dusted off a year earlier. It was only after they were rebuffed by Hoya that they realized they had no other choice and went back to the Margo rout(after beating up on a C- fighter).

As far as Mosley, I've already shown evidence that Mosley and Mayweather negotiated to fight eachother in summer of 2006(talks brokedown after Mosley demanded the lions share of the purse). I also showed a video where Big Floyd(who is not above crticising his son) said that Lil Floyd challenged Mosley on a couple of occasions, including when Mosley was p4p no1. Floyd also said that he would be willing to fight Shane provided that he beat Cotto. I know, you'll come up with some excuse why negotiating to fight someone is not proof that you want to fight them, neither is challenging them. I already know that, according to you, Floyd has to fight people when it's perfectly convienient for them.

It doesn't matter what the people on this board say. They'll be grasping for different straws once Floyd beats Cotto.

If Cotto becomes the real champ by beating Margo, and if he does indeed deserve to be the p4p no1 fighter, then wouldn't it be his responsibility to try to make a fight with his biggest threat? Or can he continue to get a pass by claiming that he only fights who his promoter puts in front of him?

You mean Margo got short changed? He was given an opportunity to fight Cotto but went for Williams instead and botched his chance by losing that one.

He also looked bad against Clottey. Who knows if the outcome of that fight wouldn't have been different hadn't Clottey injured his hand?

Conversely, Margo won't be in there against Kermit Cintron, I think we can agree.

Yet Cotto's been in there with Mosley - an older version of Mosley one may object - but a version that would nonetheless beat decisively any opponent Margo has faced including Williams, Santos and Clottey.

He's also been in there with Zab Judah whom I don't see having any problem beating Kermit Cintron, the only fighter besides Clottey (and that win wasn't conclusive) worth mentioning that Margo has ever beaten.

No it isn't. He's fought 3 solid B level fighters his entire career. He lost to two of them and struggled against the third. If you can't do well against B level fighters, how are you going to beat A level fighters?

Reg u can type til your nuts fall OFF! It wont change REALITY!! Cotto's cleaning 47. Floyds never CLEANED any divsion.

Its not just this board. Many of the top people in BOXINg are already admitting Cotto is IMPRESSIVE. EVEN FLOYD SR. has admitted that Cotto has reached the level.

Truth is truth and the veil will fall, if Floyd ducks Cotto after Margarito. Not you or the PBF band of loyalists will change that.

    FACTS MY FREIND!!! FACTS!!!!!!!!!!!

Something the PBF crew has always had working against them, Yet NOW?? The time has come where TRUTH will outweight and overcome they hype.

    Respect is EARNED not given:good

    That doesn't work.

The serie of events you're describing stretched over a much longer period of time than the one I described. A number of variables will impact results as the time period stretches.

One of the variables is weight categories. Duran/SRL happened @ 145 lbs but Hearns/Duran and Hagler/Duran happened respectively @ 153-1/4 and 157-1/2 lbs.

Conversely, all the fights I described happened inside 147 lbs.

Good for Cotto, he'll still lose to Floyd when they fight.

I never said Cotto wasnt' impressive. He'll still lose to Floyd. You might want to start attacking arguments that I actually make.

That fight will happen. Like I said, feel free to criticise Floyd until it does happen. Once he beats Cotto though, you'll have to temporarily give Floyd his props(again) before finding something else complain about the man.

You have posted very little facts. Your posts are mostly opinionated. Surely, you know the difference between a fact and an opinion at this stage in your life.

Now you're just rambling and throwing together cliches. I'm going to bed.

Cotto will totally outbox Margarito due to his superior speed, timing and overall boxing ability. I expect Cotto to land to the body often with his shorter punches and wear Marg down to a late round stoppage.

    Cotto by TKO :yep

    Your already asleep:yep

Somewhere along the way you drank the PBF poison. Which affects an individuals mind from discerning between REALITY and HYPE.

Cotto will have beaten all the top WW's save Floyd. Which clearly DEMANDS PBF vs Cotto. Anything else? Is utter BS!!

    :good

Proof happens when the bell rings yet Floyd only wants to ring the bell with opposition he KNOWS he can beat.

Hey, i'd be willing to FINALLY BE PROVEN wrong after all these years IF FLOYD MAKES THE ****ING FIGHT.

We can only await!! Sweet P4P Dreams:yep

:patsch So on Planet Reversed, the loser of a fight against the loser of another fight who lost to another loser stands a better chance to win than the boxer who stands on top of the food chain. Interesting logic! Or rather should I say "logic interesting" because on Planed Reversed "logic" really means "interesting" and "interesting" really means "logic"... :-:)-:)-(

Cotto over Margo by wide UD or late TKO. Come back to me after the fight and tell me after that who between you and I "doesn't understand".

I'm ready to take a permanent ban bet with you if you dare: I say Cotto wins, you say Margo wins. Are we on?
