Probably wont happen, but Gomez was supposed to be tough and he had fought all these super middleweights and never even been Knocked down.

Then came little miguel Cotto at a whoping 5' 7'' tall and just destroys him. I am not saying that Margo and Gomez are on the same level but Cotto really beats people up.

His hands speed and abilty to box will be his main weapons in this fight.
I dont think that Margo will ever quit he aint no Cintron, but this fight might be stoped due to cuts or accumulation of punches.

As Larry Merchant said this past weekend "The main difference in the level of fighter is speed" Cotto will simply get there faster and more often and when Margo is ready to hit back he is no where to be found! Late KO or lopsided decision for Cotto 7/26/08.

And we would have a new P4P king! After that Mayweather will definitely never fight him.

I also see a Cotto victory but not as easy as you make it sound. I actually see Cotto going down at some point in the fight. And a SD for Cotto.

The only way i see Cotto putting down Margo is by a hell of a body punch, but in the chin no way Margo can take a punch of a light heavy.

If Cotto does KO margarito he will set himself above all the other punchers in the sport right now and create an even larger demand for a fight with Floyd. he will also put himself in a position that he can make big paydays no matter who he fights.

Margo actually protects himself pretty well to the body, which is why I can't see him getting stopped against Cotto.

If Cotto drops Margarito, it will be the consistent body punches that does it for him.

I doubt Cotto can knock him out cold, but I don't think him stopping Margarito is out of the question due to Margarito having more holes in his defense than swiss cheese.

TKO is more possible than a KO but still unlikely . . . Margarito has a chin like a fukcin Rhino.

It's highly unlikely considering Margarito's track record, but possible considering Cotto's.

If that did happen, forget Mayweather and Calzaghe, I'd put Cotto at number one.

    But, again, HIGHLY unlikely.

    Again . . . I like both fighters . . . and I'm not expecting any KO's . . . but if it should happen then it's gonna be a big "statement".
