What if Cotto, Mosley or Clottey had called Floyd out

Mosley wanted to unretire Floyd for a while now. The reason Floyd wanted JMM, because it presents Floyd with one of the biggest rewards $$$, with the fewest risk.

 

He would still be fighting the feather's.

 

I thiink if Mosley or Clottey called him out, he might. Cotto, no he wouldn't. Seems to be some sort of bias and hatred against Cotto by a great majority of the boxing establishment. He seems to have a sort of blacklist against him. He never gets big payday fights or mega bouts. His own promoter hates him and has lied to him, uses his name every chance he gets and pays him basically welfare money, $1 or $2 million a fight. So, for Mosley or Clottey, yeah he would. Cotto, no he wouldn't. Cause if you also remember, when Cotto beat Mosley, he said he would fight Mosley and not Cotto. Other examples are the DLH situation, he said he would fight Cotto but he and Top Rank were really negotiating Pac-DLH instead. I think Mayweather is the same thing, he is part of the blacklist against Cotto. Mosley and Clottey, maybe possibly yes. Cotto, no.

When is Floyd Mayweather going to fight someone he doesn't have a clear and obvious advantage over? Pac fights Hatton in Hattons natural weight class and destroys him, Mosley fights Margo after many people said he didn't have a shot and kills em. Cotto fights Margo when he didn't have to and no one else would, giving up height and reach. When was the last time Mayweather took a fight he wasn't the clear cut favorite?

Granted he is an exceptional talent and would probably be favored over most opponents, but if he fought Paul Williams for example he gives up advantages in height and reach, mosley is bigger and stronger, Cotto and Clottey are stronger. When is he going to take on an actual challenge? It's annoying how everyone knows he's going to keep fighting guys he's naturally bigger than, guys who don't have enough power to hurt him, or guys with nothing left but names, but some still call him the best p4p. He WONT get in the ring with PacMan or Cotto and he wont fight shane until there are clear cut signs his skills are diminishing. The only time Mayweather wanted anything to do with Cotto is when he was still very green and had little experience. If it’s not an obvious victory Floyd wants no parts.

That whole "calling out" thing means **** all, really. It just helps hype a bout, but the real "calling out" is when you get down to negotiations.

 

If Floyd went down to Marquez would you be complaining?
