What path would that have laid out for Oscar? Even with that loss on his record he was still a superstar in boxing.

If he would have KO'ed Tito Trinidad would it have enhanced his legacy? stardom? Would have their been a rematch?

    Thoughts.

But he didn't... Maybe he wouldn't have been looking for Trinidad's leftovers!!

Not really. Tito would get dropped constantly so knocking him down or even out wouldn't be such a great feat. Oscar schooled the invincible Trinidad big enough feat tho he really lost the fight to Don King.

It took Bernard 27 headbutts a hook to KO Tito in 11 rounds.

Oscar tried to "school" Tito but his connect rate was weak and running for the last 4 rounds is no "clinic" unless it's a clinic on how to avoid being beaten by your husband.

Tito wins by split decision rather than majority.

Naturally it would be better for his legacy to knock out Trinidad than be on the wrong end of a robbery.

    Goes without saying I guess.

I would have made money that night instead of losing it.

Sometimes speed plus accuracy produces shocking rtesults and we were withenssing something like that but ODLH was too reluctant to engage and really test this guy's chin like he did with Quartey.

A knockdown means Tito losing from 1 to 3 points - since no matter what happened before (if it was going to be 10:9, 10:10 or 9:10 round), afterwards the round is scored 10:8 for Oscar almost by default.

And the scores were 115:113, 115:114 and 114:114, so already one point less for Tito makes it a draw.
