What if Floyd beat Canelo without a catchweight in 2013, beat Porter and Thurman in 2014, and beat Pacquiao in 2015? Would you be calling him the GOAT?
Porter`s a decent fighter, but Thurman really wasn`t that good and neither ws Canelo in 2013, pretty tame era.
I don't think he's just a couple adjustments away, being #1 all time for him would need to include something like a 6 fight series with Pacquiao and perhaps other things that were never going to happen.
I’m not a fan of Mayweather but it’s no denying that Mayweather is 1 of the best to ever have done it as it is.
The fact that you have to change facts about his fights, who he fights and are doing so over three years of Floyd’s career for him to even be in the running for GOAT, should tell you he has never been, nor will he ever be the GOAT.
What planet are you living on? Pac receives a ton of **** for his catchweight fights. But Pac came from flyweight. And most lightweights are bigger than him on fight night.
There are dozens of threads about Floyd and Canelo's catchweights. Never seen any created about pac Bull**** most lightweights are bigger than Pac he's built like a mini canelo. He came from flyweight as a starving 16 year old just like Canelo was a welter. No one cares.
Irrelevant. He beat Canelo at the weight Canelo requested and frankly he beat better fighters than Porter and Thurman.
This content is protected This content is protected The pic of him eating was in the morning and right BEFORE heading to the weigh in for the Matthysse fight! Pac is not a mini Clenelo. Pac is skinny. Clenelo is thick and densely built thanks to PEDs. Pacquiao is 148-149 on fight night and I think he hit 150 or 151 once. He weighed in at 144 and rehydrated to 148 in the fight against Margarito. Pacquiao was 149 on fight night against Broner. Fortuna, Bogere, Linares, and Campbell are all over 150 on fight night. Mikey was 155 or so against Spence. Tank was 146.6 on fight night against Gamboa while fighting 2 divisions below Pacquiao. Berchelt was 146 on fight night and he's 3 divisions down.
Something I would like to see is a record of fight night weights. It would be pretty interesting to see who most of the winners were for big fights based on fight night weights. If I remember correctly Loma has ranged from 142-146 on fight night. Relatively close to Pac's weight as well.
My opinion hasnt changed Floyd is #1 alright #1 con artist & cheat. Without NSAC & Vegas boxing backing him to the hilt he'd be just another contender
