Let's imagine Castillo gets the decision in their first fight. With a loss on his record, how much ego would be there, how many fanboys and entourage would he have? Ultimately he'd still have the skill to be the best pound for pound boxer. But would he have the drive? Would he have the popularity? Would he have fought more often or guys he passed on for whatever reason? Would he have the same cheerleaders? And what if he lost now? Would he stop fighting? Would the aura disappear? Would he become humble or would there be a slew of excuses?
Imagine the butthurt on here. It would certainly humble ESB. Pacquiao's gotten a roasting, it would most definitely be chaos if Floyd lost. Saying that, they'd probably all just jump to Ward or Broner.
Oh, Im sure Pcquiao fans would love getting their own back. God help us if he got KO'd, the site would crash! I trry to stay clear of the whole Pac/Floyd thing. Im a boxing fan and as such can say that both those fighters are 2 of the best of this generation. I dont hate one guy and love the other
to me, its clear as day that floyd beats ghost in his prime. It will be shock if he loses. But its got to happen sometime soon. It will just be mentioned that the guy is old now.
Mayweather has made it. Hes known throughout the world and landed the biggest guarentee in sports. Hes accomplished all that hes ever wanted. A loss wont phase him. I think it would actually take a lot of pressure off of him. He has been giving us more excitement and he'd continue to fight and the fans will keep watching. Esp after going to war with Guerrero, the fans will love it. A loss at this point in Floyds career, is no big deal.
So what if he had lost against Castillo? Obviously a loss later in his career wouldn't do as much damage. How about earlier in it? What would've his path been like? I certainly can't believe it would have remained the same. His whole pulling power was his 0. That's why he's the biggest fighter in the world, because he risks it and he wins time after time.
If Floyd lost that fight, it would of been the biggest blessing in disguise. He would of gone on to fight much tougher opposition (and likely beat most of them) and make a substantial claim to being a top 10 fighter of all time. As it stands, he is simply an extraordinary talent that was too scared to ever take on the best in his era. That '0' is the making and breaking of Floyd.
If Castillo earned the nodd in.the first fight, Floyd would have bounced right.back and beat Castillo in the rematch as he did. Maybe fight a trilogy and win that too. The big question is would he have still been able to fight DLH which was a turning point of his career. Thats the fight he always wanted. With the trash talk and amazing skills to back it up he would still be a ppv attraction. I dont think he'd be as popular but maybe he wouldnt have been so quick to retire and fight only.once a year and shown us this 'new' aggressive style Floyds been.using a lot sooner and more often.
He would get a rematch and beat whoever beat him. In the end, even if he loses he would have avenged all his losses.
Yes because SHO need to fix fights incase Floyd ghets brutally KO'd..... Apparenly theres lots of guys at LWW-LMW, who would KO floyd cold.
probably wud have been slighlty harder to get de la hoya fight. and the second fight was a bit of snore even though he outclassed JLC
