I'm talking about either fighter-mayweather or pacquiao...assuming at this point that the random tests they have recently taken come back positive-i highly doubt they will but i was wondering what your reaction would be?

What be the consequences on either side?

Would their careers be pretty much over?

If they did come back could they still sale tickets/ppv's or would they be an espn type fighter?

  2. It's hard to say.

Mosley seems to be still rather highly regarded by fans and the media. For some reason, I feel like Mayweather and Pacquiao are so popular that either would be vilified forever, because it would be really highly publicized.

Because of the circumstances, Mayweather would probably suffer the most backlash, considering it was his side making the accusations.

They'd still get big fights and big money...assuming they were suspended for the infringement and came back.

ESPN? Are you ****in kidding me? From 10-20 mill purse to ESP-****in-N? Boxing isn't like other sports where you can get blackballed or told "You cannot fight again!", as long as they make money, they will be in the mix. And they will be backed by fans like you or the networks who want to make money off them.

Was Roy Jones career over for his failed test? Vargas? Mosley? Toney?

that'd be funny! but the public would be harder on the mayweathers because they were the ones that were pointing fingers after all

it will of course add another doper in the family of drug dealers already

    pac can always blame ariza

He failed after the DLH fight. He came back to big fights and fanfare. So, no.

one thing is the fight would be off....I expect both to pass though....

I think the consequences would be awful for either fighter...They would be finished on the world stage.....

These are the 2 most celebrated fighters of the decade.....horrible if one failed a drug test...

What would be interesting is if they failed for weed, coke, or something along those lines.....not PED's

Did you miss the question in the opening post? The FACT is Vargas came back to boxing AFTER failing a test and STILL got big fights. Which was asked. And his popularity didn't take a hit either.

    If they test positive then

Floyd - becomes the biggest fraud roid user

Pacquiao - becomes the greatest boxer who doesn't know what he's taking
