Suppose Foreman beat Ali in the Rumble in the Jungle. How would boxing history have changed? Would there have been a Foreman-Holmes fight? If so, who would have won?

I think Foreman would have had one of the best resumes of all time with victories over Frazier, Ali, and Holmes.

Foreman would have remained champion until a young great boxer would beat him....more than likely Holmes.

They would have fought again. There was too much money in it for them to turn it down.

Foreman would probably be referred to as the greatest heavy of all time.

If Ali had lost that night in Zaire, Foreman would've went on to become the G.O.A.T. P4P.

George would remain champ for another 2 1/2 years, until Jimmy Young beats him in Vegas.

it is just laughable, if ali had lost against foreman , there is no way that young could beat foreman.

if foreman had won against ali in 1974 larry holmes would not beat foreman, because ali 74 did all better than holmes, except hitting power but it is not a factor because foreman took shots from much bigger punchers than holmes.

Punchers are always potentially capable of being outboxed. It's very plausible that if George beat Ali in 74 that either or both Young and Holmes in their prime would have done the trick.

    I agree.
It's impossible to know what would have happened and who would have beaten Foreman or not beaten him.

Yes...but odds are he would have lost his title to one of these fighters. A boxer was going to do the trick and these two were the best coming into the late 70s.
