Trying to squeeze in a non-Pacquaio-Mayweather thread in this here forum.

Suppose JMM and Funeka meets at 135-140. How do you see this fight going?

    I see Funeka on points.

But if they were both made an offer they can't refuse?

Depends what Marquez has left..he could fall pretty sharply at this point of his career.

But yeah I think its a fight that they wont look at...Funeka far to risky and presents a difficult stylistic challnge. He is better off fighting a more known and popular fighter in Katsidas, who is tailor made for him.

i think jmm can possibly stop funeka...he was hurt by campbell with an overhand right hand...i think jmm would UD him...jmm has a good left hook to the body and a good straight right...jmm wouldn't have to pressure funeka either, because funeka would be the one coming forward

i think katsidis would be a better fight for jmm at this point. i think 135lbs should be tops for him for a guy his size where his stamina, strength, and speed should be at their best. i think funeka is a very tough fight for anyone at 135 or 140. i can see funeka outboxing marquez the first part of the fight, but knowing marquez he is a slow starter and never gives up making him dangerous throughout the entire fight and find gaps in funekas offense and can catch him coming in.

if the fight is kept at a distance and in the center of the ring, i'll give it to funeka. if he makes the mistake of going toe to toe with marquez, marquez will knock him out and is a great finisher. floyd kept it in the center of the ring and was too fast to even give marquez a chance to counterpunch. funeka has pretty good chances and he is improving greatly. i'l like to see him against valero 135 or khan 140

yup. that's why jmm needs katsidis, who's a fighter not to hard to find and he needs him to gain his confidence back after a humiliating loss. i think jmm has 2-3 great fights in him left.

This would be a great fight. I think you guys are underestimating JMM in this one. Marquez can match Funekas workrate and wont give away any rounds. I give Funeka the early rounds and might even put JMM down, until JMM figures out Funekas pattern and capitalizes with body shots and over hand rights. The fight I would love is JMM vs Valero I hope it happens and I hope JMM retires after that dream fight.
