Let's say after beating Dennis Andries, that Hearns lures Hagler after his loss to Leonard to a rematch at lightheavyweight.
I know Marvin was always comfortable making the 160 lb limit. Let's say he comes in at 168 for the fight. Hearns with his height and bigger frame weighs in at 174.
How does the fight go, can Hagler stand up to a lightheavyweight Hearn's power? Will Hearns try to keep this fight at range, and set Hagler up for his right hand, instead of foolishly brawling in the first fight. Will Hagler get cut badly..... please discuss. 12 rounds, 20X20 ring.

I think that the extra weight helps Hearns more than Hagler. Tommy's big frame can do with a bit more muscle. Hagler was near perfect at 160. More weight is just going to make him more bloated with muscle and slower.

Interesting isn't it. At MW Hagler is too big buut at LHW Hearns is too big.

Hagler wins again. That beating in '85 would have got into Hearns' head big time.

No matter what weight Hagler wins. Take the Danny Green vs Mundine fight. The first fight was
at 168lbs and Mundine too slick. Rematch 10 yrs later and Danny favorite. This time Mundine
who in last fight before fought at 154 and lost by tko moved up to face Green at LHW.
DG last fight was at Crusierweight before meeting AM. Despite it been a draw most people had AM
winning. Weights at fight AM 175 and DG 182.
Hagler too rough and mean for Hearns again . At LHW Hagler on points.

I think Hagler has a stylistic and physical advantage regardless of weight...Hagler again.
