What if... Hopkins beats Foreman's record as the oldest HW champion of all time.

what a feat that would be. Coming up from MW. Its a long shot but with Haye as a titleholder its doable.

He could be secretly planning it.

Hard to believe it's possible though with Klit's and Haye with the titles.

I think records below heavyweight are more significant than at heavyweight. Winning a title at 45 as a heavyweight is not that astounding. Especially a guy like Foreman.

It is a big "if" - I don't think Haye would fight him as he would have nothing to gain. If he did, he would beat him easy.

Haye is no mug - would beat B-Hop at CW as well.

Hopkins said after his fight with RJ, he was eyeing the winner of Haye/Ruiz.

how is it 'doable' with Haye as a titleholder? Haye is a class fighter and would be fighting a guy naturally smaller then him and would hold many of the advantages, against a hopkins that nobody knows how he would look given he would be that much older for the fight...

    Haye UD

I'd give the edge to Haye also. He has something which troubles Hopkins and that's hand speed. It would be incredibly interesting to see how Hopkins handles this much bigger man.

If it's not that astounding...why did no one do it from 1885 to 1993? Then why only George from 1885 to 2010?

Dont get me wrong, id watch this fight and to be honest, id probably root for Hopkins to pull this win off, and i def think that Hopkins would have his moments, but for him to win? I dont see it at all, and i dont even see it as close.
Haye is bigger, is more athletic, if faster, and hits harder, and often has a nice way of measuring and keeping distance.... not to be missed is the fact that Haye has some decent reflexis too, and for Hopkins this means he will have to close the distance and try to rough Haye up on the inside (i dont see him catching haye from the outside much due to Hayes speed, reflexis, and range) So assuming he closes the distance on Haye without problem, hes still going to be in with a guy stronger and bigger then him, I see hopkins winning a few rounds off of his wits and some very good spurts here and there, but over the course of the fight i really, really think Haye proves to be too big coupled with being too dynamic for Hopkins at this stage (and maybe any stage if im honest)

This is just IMO of course, but i dont see why hopkins has as many backers to win against haye as he does.

Not saying i wouldnt watch  And i wouldnt mind Hopkins pulling out such a victory, one for the ages no doubt IMO, and id be eating plenty of humble pie as well, but i simply dont see it. He would do better against some other heavies though i think, a slower, more straight forward type fighter. So not saying i dont think X cant be succesful at heavyweight, i just dont see him making it very close with Haye, let alone winning.

    Just imo

It would not mean a damn thing. Every boxing fan knows the K-bros are the elite of the heavyweight division and either bro would crush the cowardly Haye, who has backed out of a fight with both bros. Haye might have the courage to face the ancient boxer, Hopkins but pissed his panties when forced to face either of the K-bros. Haye might gurd his loins and face a middleaged middleweight in Popkins but would squeal like a woman at the prospect of fighting the true heavyweight champion of the world, The Steelhammmer Dr. Wlad Klitschko.

Haye would kick Hopkins' ass. If Jones doesn't get sparked in the first round or two, this much should become obvious.

B-Hop, especially @ his age, doesn't belong in the HW div. let alone win the title.
