What if Ingo had repeated his victory over Floyd Patterson on June 20 1960? Could there have been a title defense against Cleveland Big Cat Williams? Or maybe Sonny Liston, or perhaps Zora Folley?

Good question Richard. Maybe a third possible fight with Ingo giving Floyd another chance?
I don't see Ingo having a long reign that's for sure. Williams beats him im about sixty percent certain.
Folley in with a good chance to.
Liston?? He knocks Ingo out quickly imo, before the third at most.

Liston was going to work who ever had the title anyway. Then lose it to Ali. Not much changes historically.

I think it would have been hard to justify fighting anyone but Liston. At this point most of the other leading contenders had already lost to either him or Johansson. Except for Folley, but he was already signed to meet Liston the following month and we know how that turned out.
