Interesting Mr Allan Haymon will definitly outbid K2 & want the figjt on PbC (NBc or Showtime) What will GGg do at this point? Take the fight or drop the belt? Not saying GGg would duck but could he fight on PBC?
id say jacobs will do anything he can to avoid this fight, including paying ggg step aside money to avoid the mandatory. also pbc are trying to promote danny jacobs as a real world champion, they arent going to pay through the nose to bring ggg over to pbc just to watch their boy get smashed . ggg would fight on pbc if he has too because he isnt going to lose a belt but thats not going to happen, also i cant remember the last time al won a purse bid. if anything jacobs and he's team are probably hoping the wba never enforce he's mandatory status
Haymon will not sacrifice Jacobs. He'll order him to drop the belt rather than take on a fight he cannot win and deal with a rival promotional company - Just like the Peter Quillin v. Korobov situation. Jacobs is marketable. Entertaining, clean cut, and fairly exciting. He has value and options. He will drop his trinket WBA belt to Gennady (the real WBA champ) and fight with Saunders for his IBF belt.
I think Golovkin will go anywhere to fight anyone @ 160. I don't think there is a 160 pounder in the world could go 12 with GGG so he wouldn't have to worry about crooked judges Actually of all the 160 pounders I think Danny Jacobs is one that would fight him. After what Danny went through beating Cancer I do not doubt his courage. But I doubt his team would want that fight to happen
I'm sure both men are more than willing to face each other. But their teams, managers, promoters... not the case. Jacobs has PBC/Haymon and their sketchiness with making quality fights and crossing the promotional line. Golovkin has HBO and their sketchiness with making quality fights and crossing the promotional line... I don't see PBC letting Jacobs fight on HBO and I definitely don't see HBO letting Golovkin fight on PBC (not that Golovkin wouldn't want it, but that's the way it works).
Al will play it make it look like they could not make the fight due to Golovkins commitment to HBO. :deal
