Dawson is an awful hypejob but it won't do much for boxing to have Glen Johnson beat him. It would be great for the sport to have Dawson beat Johnson then have Calzaghe come out of retirement and do to Chad what he did to Jeff Lacy.

Stfu. Cloud was offer to fight on Dawson vs Johnson rematch in the undercard but turn it down so instead Cloud fought for a vacate Title. I'm sick of stupid people comment stuff like "ducking" with out true facts.

In MrPR's world it's better to fight an average 28 year old (he's in his prime!!) than a world class 43 year old who's better then any of the other opponents around the same weight.

I swear man most people here are ******ed. First many say Dawson was scared to fight Johnsin again then many say Dawson is scared to fight Diaconu but now scared to fight Cloud. I mean damn whatever Dawson does he still won't get the respect. Dawson vs Diaconu was suppost to happen but it didn't happen cause Diaconu was injured. Cloud was offer to fight on Dawson vs Johnson undercard so that if Cloud and Dawson wins on the same night they will fight each other but Cloud turn it down. And again many say Dawson was scared to fight Johnson but now since that fight is going to happen again people still bashed Dawson.

Dawson should be able to outpoint him for a decision.

Finally some solid boxing in Hartford.

dawson should have learnt from the first fight, and i think he will outpoint johnson. i hope johnson wins though, the guys got balls of steel and would fight anyone anywhere, and you have to respect that.
if he did win though , i cant see a fight between johnson and hopkins happening, it just wouldnt have the marquee imo.
hopkins imo is the only guy who would beat dawson at lh though imo(but ive only seen clips of cloud!!) if they ever fight, which i dont think will happen, i can see hopkins fighting jones jnr again for his final fight.

It's bad for American boxing to lose a possible future star.

Not this Calzaghe fan, so easy on the generalizations. I want a Dawson-Calzaghe fight.

If Dawson loses, I'll give full credit to Glen Johnson, but the truth is Chad Dawson has no business losing this fight. He's more experienced than he was in the first bout and square in his prime, and Johnson's another year older with fewer tools at his disposal- there's only one way Chad can lose this fight, and that's if he learned absolutely nothing from the first Glen Johnson fight and fights worse. I'm giving Dawson the benefit of the doubt that that's not going to be the case, and I see Chad winning a 9-3 type decision.

I'm not sure why it was ever expected of Joe to move up to and clean out LHW when he pretty clearly set out to carve a legacy (at least in terms of longevity of championship defense) specifically at SMW. When Bernard moved up it was considered "icing the cake" - it wasn't expected of him as he'd already set a title defense record at 160. Why are mythical match-ups with Johnson and Dawson (or the actual matches against old Hopkins and Jones) not regarded as "icing on the cake"? :think
