Would he put his title on the line against Jermaine Taylor? Could Trinidad be sanctioned to fight him for the title? How would the fights end differently? Would Joppy be able to beat either man? Last time Trinidad KO'd him and Taylor shut him out.

Oh I ain't betting on it, but I am kind of rooting for it to happen. Even though I think Bute will pick him apart and has a good chance of stopping him.

Joppy is WAY past his prime. He's gonna get smoked.

    lol good tread. ;)

I watched some old Joppy fights recently and I most say he has a pretty good jab. I have no idea how good he looked in his last 5 fights but if he still has that jab he should give Bute some problems in the early rounds.

If Joppy wins of course the big money fight for him is Tito and he actually has a chance of winning it.

but he won't of course Bute tko5

If Joppy wins, Bute should just hang himself.

if this were to happen, the first thought in my mind would be about how this shows how clearly superior Calzaghe is to the 168 lb division.

I remember joking here years ago that Joppy would get another title shot. :rofl

If he beat Bute, Bute would have to brutally KO him in the rematch to ever begin to redeem himself.

I don't like to beat up a guy when they're down but Joppy is a shot fighter. I've honestly never seen Bute fight but this is just a name on his resume.

What if Gatti was able to dominate and knock out PBF in the rematch? What would happen then?

It would of been a good fight 5 years ago, but Joppy is way too old now.

If you are going to bet on this fight, don't bet on the early stoppage. Bute will want to gain some experience in the ring against Joppy.

I wouldn't bet for a stoppage in the first 6 rounds.

Bute will also want to impress a bit in this fight, so a stoppage from 7 onwards is a goer, I would say.
