What If...Josesito were to beat Canelo?

if josesito beats canelo..he needs to be a candidate for fighter of the year honors and get himself a big money ppv fight

Well JLO is a very good technical fighter, with a lot of heart, and very intelligent. All the credit to him and his great story if it were to be outcome.

His best bet is to work the body, and outbox him on the backfoot... Which he very well can as he is a very good technical boxer... As shown at 147 dude can bang and rocked Ortiz a couple of times and broke his jaw... so to say his is a weakling is undermining JLO's accomplishments vs Vargas, and Ortiz.

Boxing has never been about size but about skill. Remember the traditional divisions where greats would move up from 135-147 to fight... or from 147 to MW @160... Give JLO his props if he decided to take the fight.

It should be a great fight, as size has nothing to do with boxing as show in the Ortiz fight, its about skills, game plan, stamina, and mental toughness...

Canelo is not mentally weak, or heart deficient like Ortiz so he won't be making canelo run track in there when Ortiz gets on his bike... if he wants to bang CANELO will go ahead and bang with him, if he wants to make it an inside fight and trade body shots, he can do that, and lets see who gets the better of the exchanges. Canelo is a whole different beast in the over all package compared to Orteez... Canelo better not under estimate him, but he never does that. He saw the fight live he knows what he is fighting a very smart, technically savvy determined "YOUNG LION" with the world at his grasp trough hard work, that mentality created upsets..

and how there are many talented hidden fighters in pockets within divisions who just are promoted well enough and arn't given the opportunity.


I think it was more that Ortiz was overrated... and he did get kinda unlucky as he was beating Lopez on the cards JUST.

 

Rematch.

 

I would suggest Josesito move back down to 147 rematch Ortiz grab another nice Payday then take on the rest at Welter.

If he beats Canelo, well thats what I hope for I dont expect that to happen but if it does DLH is in big trouble.... I am sure Oscar is setting this fight up so Canelo will look like a monster, I smell Mayweather Canelo

 

he wont beat Canelo.... I couldnt believe so manyt people were giving Ortiz a chance against him, I believe in the Canelo hype, hes a monster

 

I had Lopez winning on points vs Ortiz, but when I heard Ortiz vs Alvarez announced and everyone was like "OMG great fight! what a war! Ortiz will give Canelo hell!" I could only think "bull****", Alvarez is leagues above Ortiz, imagine that Ortiz was in with Canelo...

 

Josesito deserves fighter of the year award and his own movie if he somehow manages to do that
