If only he had turned pro in the mid nineties imagine the opposition he could have been facing he really could have mixed things up i guess we will never know damn Cuba for being a communist state they have deprived us of some of the greatest boxers
Most stupid post of the year award goes to you. You mean when they fought in the U.K.? That was their 3rd fight. Kindelan was already retired by then and just went to the U.K. for some $. He beat Khan when it mattered:hey He and no one else cared about the outcome of that fight, because it didn't matter something anyway. Except that it was a smart move by Warren to promote Khan.
End of the day he did it against all the best amateurs and some of the best future pros in the world when it mattered the Khan fight was a publicity stunt
You must be the only person who actually believes Khan won that bout, even Khan knows Kindelan was paid off. Warren puts on an amateur show for ITV, it's Khan's last amateur bout before he turns pro...surely it wouldn't look good if Khan lost? :think I remember Kindelan training in my gym, it was after the Olympics, but can't remember what the Cuba squad were over for. They pretty much booted everyone out of our gym for a few days while they trained, our trainers let me and a couple others stay and watch them spar. Watching Kindelan spar, I've never seen someone in person with so much natural ability for the sport. He watched and knew everything his opponent was going to throw and then countered, absolute genius! The whole Cuba squad were amazing.
lol that rematch was a set up bro dont you know the story behind it? kindelan was already retired when that happened and the payed him off to go over there and help launch amir khans pro career.
Kindelan was fantastic. Such a quick, polished, smart boxer. I find his final amateur match a bit dubious, too.
Khan definitely won the rematch, but Kindelan looked very disinterested. Khan was infact beating him in the Olympic final, but Kindelan's class in the end told. I think he could have been a great fighter, he was the msot technical out of all the cubans of his generation, and had a great head on his shoulders too, i dont think he would have had half the problems alot of the cubans have who turn pro in another country.
we will never know, he had the natural talent but it takes more than just talent to make it in the pros.. you need dedication, committment and luck as well... also you need a great team to guide your career the right way.. pro boxing is a lot different than the amateurs.. you fight a lot more rounds and cubans boxers styles are more taylor made for the amateurs.. also we've seen a few cuban boxers defect the last few years and they havent taken over pro boxing like some people think.. so to answer the question who the **** knows :hat
Not a chance Kindelan had retired and came back at 34 for a payday Amir Khan couldn't lace the guys jock strap! atsch
