if khan loses he will then have to go for murray or thaxton, and thaxton carries the dig thats why warren has kept him away from thaxton

to all those that are saying murray would beat khan - i wonder if the % of people that are at least saying khan has a chance would say the same about murray taking on barrera. at the end of the day, if hes improved his defence and ringsmarts a great deal, khan has a chance of beating almost anyone with his speed.

if he loses khan and his cheapskate entourage will be flying premium economy to vegas .
In an ideal world it will be repeat of the hamed vs barrera fight.

I've never understood why a number of early defeats is supposed to mark the end of a boxers career, even devestating KOs. I mean Pac-man has 2 early KO dfefeats on his pad, Nate Campbell has been KOd twice and is now a world champion.
Of course Khan will never be a great, or even a good champion, but that doesn't mean "boxing's not for him" as he can still be involved in some exciting fights and earn a a lot more money then he could working in his dad's scrapyard.

That's pretty much how I see it... Except Khan will get sparked in my opinion. Barrera's star may have fallen somewhat in recent years, but I still think, even all the way up at lightweight and fighting a welterweight Khan, he has more than the china chinned boy wonder can handle. Unless of course Khan has improved his defence substantially.

Hey, there's a promotional voxpop for Sky... The Baby faced Assassin vs the China Chinned Boy Wonder!

Barrera is certainly a class act, you're right there Cobra. But I can make a pretty good argument for Khan winning this with his pace, power, youth, and size. Then again how often has MAB been written off before now only to show what a clever fighter he is? He has a real knack of catching the judges eye in a close fight as evidenced in the Morales trilogy. Shot for shot they were very close fights, but Barrera caught the eye. Very punch efficient too. You rarely see MAB miss. I just don't know, but I fancy Barrera has one more visit to the well available to him.

I think Warren fancies MAB may now be a seriously faded version of himself, and I'd be inclined to agree, but is he so faded that the inexperience Bolton boxer can get the better of him? I'm not so sure he is. It seems that Warren, having weighed up all the pros and cons, feels it's worth a shot as Khan can almost win in defeat if he comes through a close 12 rounds on the wrong end of a decision.

Perhaps the defeat to Prescott is a blessing in disguise, for us fans and Khan, as I feel certain this fight would not have been made had Khan still had that 0 to protect.

    It's win or bust........

If Khan wins it leads to a rematch with Prescott I reckon as a title eliminator, the publicity and interest for the rematch would be huge.

    If he loses it's :hi:

I honestly think the fight with Barrera will come down to how much time is spent with Roach and whether he will be in his corner on fight night.

lol Khan will be in a chair for a week even if he wins, but if he looses it might be brutal it may be short it depends on what mood MAB is in!! either way if Khan can't cope with Prescott how the hell can he cope with Barrera

Khan will have to go the domestic route if he loses though its a long way back.Roach seems confident of victory saying that Khan should get a day job if he loses.
Remember he has time on his side.He is still only 22 so a return to this level is not unthinkable via the British and EBU titles.

By the way.did anyone see Khan on Soccer AM...when asked if he was going to fight Hatton,he answered no because they're good pals as though he were established at that level, disrespectful *******.He needs to prove himself and a win over Barrera would go some way to doing that.

I don't see Barrera giving Khan the sort of beating Prescott did. He's going to box him as he has pretty much done all of his latest fights.

I don't agree that a defeat v Barrera would spell the end for Khan unless it was another brief brutal KO and I can't see that either fighter will approach the fight to make this likely.

Anyone know what parking is like at MEN?
