    I like how we managed 2-3 posts before it turned into every other thread about Duran.

    Yeah and Kirkland Laing and Wilfred Benitez proved an immediate rubber match with Leonard would have resulted in Duran being turned upside down and ass spanked!:lol:

    You've 4 more days to go till the 30th anniversary of the 15 round glove **** that was handed out to Leonard on the 20th june 1980 which is my birthday also.........what a ****in connection..what fate:D

    Duran lost in 1980, twice in 82, 84, 86 and 89.

    PS Was Duran at his menacing best in 1984? Sure as **** didn't look like it, when his parachute opened at Caesars!

    Last time i looked he had one fight between 82 and 87 and that was a trial. It's got nothing to do with easy.

    The simple fact is Duran never beat a good fast boxer or mover from 147 to 160 if we discount the initial SRL encounter. Once up in the weights it was his kryptonite.
