Mostly? Nah nah nah . . . Gomez started his career at 122 against Jacinto Fuentes which ended in a draw. Then he after 5 fights he move down to 118 and fought 5 fights alternately with 5 super bantam fights. The only fighters he fought at 118 were John Mesa, Jose Medel, Alberto Davila, Sak Lemptong and Andres Hernandez . . . now what mostly are you talking about?

Yeah you've done your analysis based on best competition. :yep

Here's their best competion at 122:

    Gomez
    Nicky Perez 40-1-0; TKO 5
    Ruben Valdez 36-5-1; TKO 6/
    Nestor Jimenez 66-12-2; TKO 5
Dong Kyun Yum 50-2-6; TKO 12
    Tony Rocha 33-6-4;TKO 2
    Carlos Zarate 52-0-0 (48 KO’s) TKO 5

    Pacquaio
    Reynante Jamili 41-5-0; TKO 2
Nedal Hussein 19-0-0; TKO 10 - but KDed Pac in the fourth with a right straight
    Sakmuangklang 41-3-0; TKO 6
Jeorge Ellicier Julio 44-3-0; TKO 2
    Agapito Sanchez 31-9-2; DRAW
    Ledwaba 31-1-1; TKO 6

Who fought the better opposition? :D

Intangibles ? Yeah right . . .Pac was floored by a guy who has a record of 19-0 and held to a draw by a guy who has 31-9 record while Gomes KOed a guy with 52-0 record. How's that? :good

Weaknesses? Gomez was a well rounded fighter at 122 while Pac was a struggling fighter. Again I'll remind you that Pac became a complete fighter where he learned to use his right hand only after his draw with JMM which is at 126.

And don't forget that Pac's two loses are against guys who's heights were 5'4" . . . so don't ever think that a 5'5" Gomez has a disadvantage. :yep

Yeah he could have stayed at 122 until he retires . . . that's why now he doesn't even want to fight at 126 anymore because "according to him" he doesn't want to starve himself anymore

Yeah no way you'll pick Gomez . . . that's understandable . . . your handle clearly shows why. :rofl

Psycho....Your analysis is like you're Playing Trading Cards, Grow up Boy.

Why is it that Gomez not at good at 126 & beyond while Pac was Stlll dominant there? Simple answer....Pac is Greater than Gomez.. Power & Chin wise.

Pac was Dropped by Hussein, But shows heart & come back on the same round & Dominate after that. He shows Heart, Does Gomez has that??

Sanchez should be DQed & everybody knows that.

Pac early loses is because he fought an experienced guy on his 11th fight when he's still a teenager. 2nd loss shouldn't happened if he is well managed & didn't fought on a weakened, dehydrated state.

Pac will bomb Gomez from the outside, Pac will make him miss. Pac's longer. Pac only has Problem with dirty & slick fighter.

Pac don't need to be a complete fighter to beat Gomez. Isn't it Pac is still one dimentional Left Bomber when he fought MAB on his first jump to 126??? We know what happened there.....

you can also include under pac @122 :

    Emmanuel Lucero 21-0-1; TKO 3
    Fahprakorb Rafkkiatgym 37-2; KO 1
    Seung-Kon Chae 23-0; KO 1

in fairness to pac, he also had a fantastic record as a 122lber. but i still have to give the edge to gomez @122 if we compare quality of opposition. gomez became a HOFer and legend due to his record at 122.

however, if we consider their records @126 and 130, pac definitely has the better one.

At 122 Gomez was a complete fighter. He could box, punch, he has a great defense and was an excellent counter puncher. He would have exposed Pac and picked him apart. At 126 and 130 he was starting to fade and was getting into coke and allot of partying. So that's why he lost his edge.

exatcly @ 122 he was a very complete fighter.
If JMM gave pac trouble just think of what Gomez would do to him.

yep. i do consider both gomez and jmm being sort of coming from that same "mould" of complete boxer. but pac does have his speed, power, heart/tenacity and stamina to compensate for his being an apparent "incomplete" fighter. he has proven that throughout his career.

this is why it is clear that you a cearly just a pac fan. you say that pac wil bomb gomez from the outside, but in the same sentence say that pac only has probems with dirty and slick fighters.

newsflash. at 122, bazooka gomez was as dirty and as slick as there ever was. and had dynamite in his fists.
