What if Manny Pacquiao vs. Wilfredo "Bazooka" Gomez

pac chin at 122 is highly questionable. and if gomez connects to that chin then packy is gone. but I still like pac's chances at 122. for me it was his strongest, dropping his opponents like fly. both are brawlers, it is just a matter of who connects first

 

So you think 122 was the best weight class for Pac?

 

dude, i've tried my very best to slap some sense into these nuthuggers and believe me, it will never worked. you'd totally own them and they would not even recognize it. your efforts will all be in vain. posters like pacdbest, johnco and 2 or 3 more esb posters have pac's **** so deep in their throats that they can't think straight

 

we never grow tired of legend vs current fighters match-up. No one could really know the outcome. If you look at the old films, they fought entirely than today's fighters, except with the exception of the some slicksters like SRL. I do not know it must be "machismo". If you go a little farther, you will notice that fighters really slug it out, with some disregard to defense sometimes. So who knows what's the outcome. Although one thing is sure, Gomez is a formidable foe then and would do good if he was fighting today. JMM vs. Gomez would be a good match-up.

 

I don't care who wins, it would be one helluva fight..

Pac probably gets owned by every other legend back then. Its fine by me. Kind of like basketball, how would today's greats match up with MJ, Kareem etc. In terms of boxing, has the sport evolutionized in terms of better skill for today's boxing athlete?

Seriously though, for the original poster..are you trying to make Pac less of a fighter because its logically possible that he couldn't beat past greats?

This Gomez-Pac is just a fantasy matchup & cannot be proven who will win. We can just speculate . We have just have our own opinion in the match up.

What can we prove is who will be rated Higher in All time greatest list. So far Pac has accomplished more by Beating Great fighters after he moved several weight classes where Gomez failed.

I do not know how old you are but as far as boxing is concerned, we probably know more than any other race. before boxing became a PPV event, boxing is a Sunday family event especially if boxers like Arguello, Gomez, Chavez, SRL, Ali, Tyson, etc. were fighting. It was free then. We never followed the careers of obscure fighters though.

I am a pinoy who had lived in New Zealand and Australia. And Most Pinoys I met are educated. It is insulting to generalize a nation and it shows your ignorance.
