Speaking as an Italian-American whose family was all born over in Italy, if Rocky's family had been from Sicily, (which is where a lot of Italian-American immigrants, myself included, can trace their family back to) he probably would have had some small percentage of African heritage. Hell, a nasty little proverb I heard some northern Italians when I was visiting the old country goes "Everything south of Rome is Africa."
