What if Margarito and Floyd fought

Margarito isn't bad at all at cutting of the ring. He is tall, and I've noticed Margarito will actually cut off the ring using his elbows and legs. Mayweather has seen this, and it would be very risky for PBF. But, PBF should do it. He could very well win, so why would he not sign the fight now?

I don't know what happend to Margarito, but something clicked inside this guy after the Williams fight. The guy now will jog towards his opponents to destroy them. He doesn't just beat guys, he destroys them. I can't think of anyone else that destroys like he does.

 

Mayweather hasnt got the balls to fight Margarito

 

Floyd runs and pot shots all night and wins a UD, end of story. Margarito can't beat Williams and he can't beat Floyd, and he nearly got his ass handed to him by Clottey.

There is no such thing as "No point in beating someone that already beat me", whether he was 18 years old or 10, that's a guy that beat him who was recently active but completely ignored. If Mayweather did something similar he would get threads flooding the forum for not avenging a defeat, yet this guy has 5 and for obvious reasons with two active ones and a another active a year ago yet he doesn't even consider any of them except for Williams(who seems to be doing the talking here).

Saying "he doesn't need to because he was 8 years old" doesn't justify not trying to avenge it nor the loss, sorry.

 

It's not just blocking them, it's completely avoiding them which won't be difficult at all. Every combination Margarito throws I would imagine one if not none to land to be honest, just take a better look at the man's speed for God's sake, Mayweather has faced way faster opponents who weren't able to touch him even closer, this guy has zombie-like speed.

You can throw a lot of punches all you want but if you're hitting air it won't be close. Sorry but based on Margarito's style and the skills he has to back it up I just can't pick him to win this one, not to forget that he doesn't even have one punch KO power to end it with one punch, he needs to land and land a lot to finally make a statement. If those body punches hit Floyd a lot then this could be a serious night. Even then, I don't see Mayweather standing flat footed in one place welcoming these shots on to counter with his own after eating some like Cotto did.

 

PBF by WIDE UD is my pick as well.

Sorry but Cotto doesn't have the abilities nor defensive skills Floyd does.

I think Mayweather would potshot his way to victory. He is a lot slicker than Cotto and has less pride so he wouldn't worry about going toe to toe with Margo and planting his feet.

Preferred style of the judges could make the difference between a win or a loss for either guy though me thinks.

Though i am talking about the Floyd that fought DLH, time off definitely wouldn't do Floyd any favours and if it was another year or so of inactivity i'd probably have my money on Margo.

he may not be as powerful as cotto but because of sheer accuaracy it will an accumaltive effect and would be much worse for marg at the end of the fact, his face would look much worse for sure because floyd picks his spots like no other but no disrepect to cotto who i think oozes class

 

people tend to forget mayweather let people with much better speed like dlh and hatton fire away at him on the ropes without him throwing anything back and just sheer agillity and movement means he can let margo fire away see the punches comming cut them of if possible and duck and counter or just duck duck duck and sprint away with 4 or 5 speed jabs, Margo could catch floyd but unlike cotto even if he does catch him floyd would get out the way in and under his punches pot shot and run and everybody knows floyd can fight at any pace for 12 rounds easy, Floyd loopsided ud and to show i'm not a biased floyd nutthugger I honestly think Cotto could beat FLoyd
