As we know, Mayweather moved to WW and won his first match there. After that, he agreed to fight Judah after Judah's mandatory bout against Baldomir. We know how things went from there.

Let's say Margarito was Judah's mandatory instead. if Judah had fought him instead of Baldomir, how would things in the WW division have played out from that point on?

Floyd fans are going to say he would of fought him as he would of been the Lineal Champion

Margo fans will say he wouldn't of fought him, he would of skipped the division.

Who knows. Maybe Mayweather would have fought Margarito. Maybe he'd look at money fights instead of a title fight.

I doubt Floyd would've fought Margo. I could be wrong, but I don't think he would've fought him. Many people accuse Floyd of ducking and doding numberous fighters. For the most part, they are full of ****. However, I don't think he ever wanted to fight Margo. Floyd could beat Margo, but Margo would make it a tough fight and give Floyd all sorts of problems. At that point, Margo wasn't even that known. I'm not so sure Floyd would be willing to take on that sort of risk at that point in his career.

If Margarito can produce a big payday for Floyd Mayweather, i'm sure they wouldve fought already.

Mayweather can be in position to fight Pacquiao or DLH or Hatton because he's sure to get atleast 30m for fighting each of those guys ... The same can't be said for Margarito.

And I don't know what kinda person you guys are, if you're on the circuit and you're fighting for a living, you ultimate goal is to crack a million dollar payday.

Only way you can position yourself to do that is win ... and with 5 losses ... fighting out of only 1 division your whole career and having so many set backs in that one division -- you're not going to be in position to fight a Floyd Mayweather.

Margarito wouldve never fought Judah or Baldomir ... Arum wasn't going to put Margarito in position to fight those guys and he wasn't going to pay them what they were looking for.

Thats the reason why Floyd never fought Margarito ... If Arum offered PBF 10-20m to fight Margarito, i'm sure that fight wouldve happened and that PBF wouldve beat him.

PBF would have fought him plain and simple. Margo would have been the linear champ if he would have beaten Zab and PBF has a history of going after them in every division he's been in.:deal

Do you always speak out of your ass? :patsch

Arum tried to make fights with both Judah and then Baldomir.

Margarito has no one to blame but his promoters and match makers ... he missed out on fighting Judah when he was undisputed champion ... and Baldomir when he was the universally recognized champion.

Hell MainEvents offered Baldomir a career high payday of 1m to defend his title against Arturo Gatti ... Goosen/Tutor offered Baldomir 3m to defend his title against PBF ... you have to sweeten the pot for guys to get the to bite at whatever it is you're offering.

There's no way that TopRank was going to get Judah to fight Margarito, who had no name, no clout, 5 L's on his resume, no fan fair, and for little money.

Floyd was p4p king, undefeated, and a 3-division world champion at the time ... he's well known, proven pro ... great amateur background ...

Margarito has nothing to bring to the table ...

I'm not even sure if he'll beat Mosley --

    I gotta agree.

Depending on the exposure of Margo and where his popularity was if he had beaten those guys for the title would be the base for his choice.
