I agree. And Floyd's shots are going to be harder, as he's the naturally bigger guy. I don't see Marquez getting out of the 7th round.
If Floyd loses to the much smaller man will his legacy be called into question, much like Hatton's is being reconsidered following Pac? Not saying that either reevaluation is fair, but just that it might occur. That said, Mayweather tko 7.
I will be ****ing amazed....though in a good way I feel Juan has little chance but the thing is I thought Sugar was gonna get his ass handed to him by Margarito and I thought Pavlik was gonna KO Hopkins.......and I thought Ricky had a slight chance against Manny. I'm not a good judge it seems.....
marquez has a good chance, but mayweather is definately the favourite. if you don't believe that marquez has a chance now, you will once you've seen the 24/7 shows. they made it look as if hatton had a chance against mayweather and pacquiao when really he wasn't in the same league. same can't be said about marquez. marquez vs mayweather is a fight between the two best fighters in the sport.
I think thats also a good point. Marquez beating floyd would be truly legendary. He would surpass Barrera and Morales and be up there with Chavez. I even think depending on how he'd beat Floyd, it would slightly overshadow Pac's win over De la hoya. For one, one can say floyd never left his prime and would only be coming down 4lbs whereas oscar was definitely way past his prime and dropped to a weight that he hadn't made in years(i dont see floyd being weight drained for his fight against Marquez). So, it would be huge and call for a Pac-Marquez trilogy...This is all theoretically speaking though because I just don't see marquez winning this fight.
1. He will be #1 in the curent P4P rankings.* 2. He will get a third try at Pacquiao.* 3. If he beats both Mayweather and Pacquiao he should jump Chavez and Shanchez as the greatest boxer from Mexico ever.* * = Mayweather will win their match up in July, so none of this will happen.
That would have been the case a few years back, but with JMM new style it will be a much more compelling fight then you think!
After watching Hatton get massacred by Pacquiao, ODLH get brutalized, seeing BHop come back and give the greatest performance of his career, seeing Mosley revitalized and stand toe to toe with Margarito and beat him, and then seeing Paul Williams make mince meat of Wright in a fight that was never competitive I would not be surprised to see JMM beat Mayweather Jr. The odds are sure as hell against it, and logic would seemingly dictate otherwise, but in this sport, you can never be sure of anything. If I had told everyone that Mosley was gonna whitewash and blitz and Margarito after his hard with Mayorga, I would have been called insane. Margarito supposedly had every advantage other than speed and experience. But Mosley did it So Im not ruling JMM pulling out some freakish victory. Floyd isnt god. Anyone can be beaten. And JMM may be undersized, but he can punch and he has the boxing skills to give him a fight.
yeah, I want to see pacman knock the **** outta pbf...and if he doesn't i'll hold my hands up and admit I was wrong!
